Today's episode did it for me. The guy has found out he is now a father, but instead of thinking about that, the only thing on his mind is avni did this, avni hid this, avni I hate you, avni I will teach you a lesson. Blah blah blah.
No matter how much people justify neil's actions by saying it is a natural way for him to react, they aren't actually justifiable anymore. Even i was justifying both avni and neil's actions, but now it's neil who I can't justify, because everything he is doing is to teach avni a lesson, rather than understanding why she is doing it.
He really thinks that avni is doing all this to hurt and deceive him, which just proves he has forgotten everything that happened in the past, and he never really understood avni. Whenever avni does anything out of fear, insecurity and impulsiveness, he always brings it down to her not trusting him. He never remembers everything she has gone through, and all those experiences and the fear and anxiety they cause her, which ultimately influence her to take those steps.
People who go though trauma and distress act in different ways, some self harm, some become depressed and socialise less, some over-eat, but avni, avni reacts by fear and paranoia... the fear that one by one she will see everyone she loves leave her.
Let's look at it this way: The girl has been subjected to neglect/ abandonment/ humiliation since a small age, her entire blood family has been decimated out of existence, her adoptive mother murdered, one by one people coming and digging up avni's past to utilise her fears and insecurities against her for their own advantage, and then you have vidyut who neil got to know was constantly calling avni before she went missing, which neil, if he had used his brain would have easily understood he was harassing and tormenting her. Let's not forget her near experience with death by being just about shot in the heart.
How is it neil so easily accuses avni of not trusting him, rather than thinking this is how her traumatic life experiences have effected her? Avni needs help, not punishment. š
