Pooja Bhatt is one of the first celebrities to
come out and discuss the drinking problem
in our country. The actor is currently
recovering from alcoholism and has the
perfect response when termed as an
"alcoholic".
Amitabh Bachchan, who had become the
face of feminism wave in the country post
his speech in the movie Pink, while
commenting on the Kathua rape case said
that any discussion on the topic in itself is
"disgusting". This statement of his left many
shocked and numbed at the same time.
Many took to social media to call Big
B out for his selective outrage.
Pooja Bhatt too took to Twitter to call the
megastar out and wrote, "I can't help being
reminded of a film called Pink. Can our
images on screen please be reflected in
reality?"
Well, to no surprise, the troll brigade went all
out with hatred spewing for Bhatt. One of
the tweets even termed her an alcoholic.
However, Pooja had a perfect reply to it. She
wrote, "A 'recovering' alcoholic and proud
of it. In a country where people don't even
acknowledge they have a drinking problem,
let alone discuss it, I am grateful to stand
away from the crowd that considers holding
your frailties to light shameful.

Meanwhile, for those unaware, Kathua rape
case came to light earlier this month. An 8-
year-old Muslim girl was gang-raped at a
Hindu temple in Kathua, a town in Jammu
and Kashmir, in early January after she was
kidnapped. The case created a huge uproar
in the country with people coming on roads
to demand justice for Asifa.
