Lata mangeshkar scared away singers like kavitha krishnamurthy, vani jayaram because she felt threatened. Asha was versatile, but she is quite bitter just like her sister.

I don't think there's anything wrong in singing similar kind of songs. It's the singer's choice

earlier singers had neat and clean voice with good urdu pronounciation , arijit dont have that , one more draw back arijit dont suites playback singing he dont have a hero voice , people like srk look so awkward while lypsync his voice ..earlier songs were evergreen because of voices that have conveyed the great emotions with clear voices

The problem isn't with singers, but moreso with the lyrics/music director - I defiantly feel THEY are lacking and are not up to the mark. Get it right Asha!
