This is not what I wanted.
This is not what we planned.
This can't be happening to me.
This can't!

I turn to check on the one who gave the idea and she was lost.
Lost in her thoughts.

"Hey you both!" Vivu called us "What happened?"

I wanted to say 'a lot of things' happened but I can't.
If it wasn't him then who was that him.
I turned around and to my luck everyone was, I mean almost everyone was wearing white something.
I'm becoming crazy.

My friend pulled me by my hand "Hey! Where are you taking me?"
Instead of replying to me, she replied to Vivu's previous question "No thanks dude! Just a min!"

As we came far from them "Tell me!" She said.
"What?"
"Whom did you kiss?"
"I I do don't know!" I s**ttered as my eyes searched the ground.
"Hey it's okay!" She said side hugging me "May be he just used this opportunity to get a kiss from a girl I think. That unknown man!"
"I don't think so!" I said in a low tone "It was magical. I felt he wanted too!"
"Of course he would want!"
"But"
"Reply me! Are you hurt for kissing that unknown?"

I really don't know what to reply to her question.
I'm confused.
I need time.
I wanted more.
I felt the pull.
I want to know who it is.
I don't know really what is going on.

"I'm confused!" I said.
"Don't put a lot of things in head and do kichadi. Just relax. Go home. Sleep tight. Do you want to sleepover with me?"
"It's okay yaar!" I smiled at my friend who is so preoccupied with my life "I can handle!"
She smiled and we went back.

And the time we were back with everyone, people around us started to move. Our family also started to pack. And he was also there. And that too wearing kind of same shirt as him.

Could it be him?
Nope. Can't be.
That guy kissed me back.
He wouldn't have done that.
Then he wasn't with me all these years, he could have changed.
Well he could be the same too.
I need rest.

"Shall we go kids?" Uncle asked making him look at us and his eyes stopped on me.
My eyes! No my lips! For a milli sec.
I must be imagining.
Why would that hulk look there?
I'm imagining that is for sure as he is talking to my Mom normally, to offer his help to take the basket.

When did he came?
Why he is disturbed?
Why why why
Leave it!
I need sleep.
I think I will try to have a sleep.
And tomorrow I will come to search for my bracelet.

I can't believe this.
It's her.
It's the bracelet.
I'm damn sure, it's she who is here. Kissing for first time.
And that too me.
This can't be happening.

Was I dreaming?
Nope. Can't be.
After the Ice cream adventure, I left to meet my friend who invited me to his 1 year daughter's birthday tonight.
I got back home, freshen up, changed to a simple dress which mom bought for last year Diwali, for me and my little brother.
I informed mom and left.
The party went well, I just had a glass of wine and left from there around 11 to be on time for the Roman candles' magical time with family.
I came to park and saw that everyone was there except her.
I said that I was going to my regular spot which was used by my brother for the last few years and he went to his spot, over the trees.
And when I was waiting.
I felt someone's presence.
And the only person that came to my mind was her.

So I turned to see who it was but before I could get a clear vision, I was pulled down and kissed.
Shock is not the right word to describe what I felt.
But then, her perfume hit my nostrils.
I held her hand and there was that bracelet which confirmed my suspicion.
The small tinny bracelet with a chain made full of stars and an infinity symbol in the middle.
How can I forget it?
I once saw her draw it on her scrap book years ago, then I thought to do summer job to make one for her.
And the moment she saw it, she hugged me tight saying I will be her best friend for life.

But right at the moment that wasn't important.
It was her presence, this close to me.
Her lips.
Until I got to know who it was, I wanted to push the girl and give a tight slap but the moment I knew it was her, I did what my heart wished for all these years.
I did what I feared to do before.
I kissed back and I felt she wanted more.
I just couldn't get enough of the magical moment that was happening in between us when the fireworks was going around us.

But then she stopped.
I thought to go with the flow but then she pushed me even before I could see her reaction. And when I lifted my eyes. She wasn't there.

I was in daze.
But then it stuck.
She didn't want to kiss me.
She wasn't here for me.
If I wasn't here, it would have been Vivaan.
It can't be.

Calm down I said to myself.
If she loves Vivaan. She has full rights.
I might have loved her since years.
She might me the reason I left this place to go away.
She was the solo reason I'm back again.
But if she loves Vivaan, I have to make sure she doesn't get hurt.
I have to talk to him.
It was time.

With determination I matched towards our family, and she wasn't there.
She wasn't there even now.
And when I was helping mom to put the blankets in their covers, I heard my dad.
And she was here.
I turned and saw her.
My eyes was fixed to her confused eyes but then for a flicker of second it moved towards her lips.

I need to talk to her too.
She followed my eyes but her eyes screamed confusion.
Not wanting to divert my mind in to something I shouldn't, I turned away and saw that aunt has finished packing her basket.
So I went to carry it.

With questions running over and over in my thoughts we made back home.
I freshened up.
Waited for few minutes and then knocked on his door.
"Yes bro!" He said "Want anything?"
"Just a small question!"
"Go ahead!"
I entered his room and closed the door as he took a place on his bed and me on a chair.
"Do you have any feelings for Chor?" Didn't want to pull the question all around. A straight one is enough.
He laughed as if I was joking "What is this question?"
"Answer!"
"No bro! She is my best buddie. I trust her like my second soul." He shrugged.
I didn't know I was holding a bit of my breath that I breathed out just now.
"May be she is!" I said as I don't want to make it obvious to him.
He became serious "It can't be! She sees me as her friend and nothing more!"
"But when I see her see you, it says something!" I said "Just make sure that if you don't have any feeling, to not hurt her feelings!" I added.
"I will talk to her!" He started "Not directly but yeah!"
"Okay!" I got up.
"You care for her as much as before!" He remarked.
You don't know how much I care for her bro "My best friend forever!" I said with the infinity symbol as always as he knows the history behind that bracelet.

I went back to my room and pulled out the bracelet which came with myself when we were engaged in kissing.
It was nothing.
That's what I would say to myself.

How will I return this?
May be go to the park and leave it there, so when she comes tomorrow, she can find it.
What if she doesn't come?
She will!
If I'm not wrong, she is going to be doing rounds and rounds of running for all the confusion she is in and the sleepless night she is going to have.

Time went really slow.
I couldn't sleep.
It wasn't for today.
I saw the time to be 6, so changed in to tracks and left the home for a run but took the jeep until the park.
With the bracelet of course.
And the time I was there, I saw few people already running, skipping...
And as I started to move, I saw the back of a person in the same spot where the last night event happened.
And I can feel who it can.
She is taking her breath so I think she ran a lot more than what she wanted.

I jogged and went closer to her.
With a normal composure, I called for her with a "Hi!" Making her jump in her place.

> Chakor's POV <

I couldn't sleep.
Sleep was not in my list of activities to do today even though it is my favourite activity of any day.
Waited for the time to go by as I want to get back my bracelet and get my breath and calmness which I lost all along on that spot.

He! The unknown stranger!
I hate him to the core for making me feel all I wanted to feel with my love that was supposed to be Vivaan.
I shouldn't have enjoyed it.
But even though I still feel his lips on mine.
Ouf!
I have to get a grip on myself.
Then Vivaan? I don't know!
May be talk to him directly and see what are the feelings he has for me.
And the stranger?
Oh god! I need to be calm.
It's possible that I don't get to see the stranger, so have to try to forget him as I try to forget that hulk.

With all thoughts running in my little head, I stayed awake for whole night.
Hearing my mom getting out of her room, I quickly changed in to a jogging suit and made my way towards the park.
May be my answers are there!
No way as he is not going to be here! That stranger.

Run! Run! That's what I said to myself, pushing myself to a limit that I didn't know existed.
Running from home to park is not a difficult task but running rounds inside the park as a mad girl, with everyone watching my show was something different.
Then I stopped on that spot.
Taking my breath as my eyes started to wander everywhere around the place but I didn't spot anything.
When my breath started to become normal, I heard a so familiar voice.
It's him! What is he doing here? May be jogging!
And I turned to face him with a "Hi!"
Nearing me with unreadable expressions, he stood in front of me.

"You are sweating!" he said as if I don't see my state.
What else can I do other than standing like this?
I did a mistake.
A big one.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
What can I say now?
I don't want talk about that uneventful night? Nope! He doesn't know anything about it.
You stayed away for three years, so stay away for the rest of my life too? It's too rude.
"I don't have anything to talk to you!"
"You look disturbed!" He commented.
"None of your concern!"
"Chakor!"
"You still remember my name!" A small laugh left my lips "You were not here all these days then why suddenly taking care of me? Where were you last three years? Just go back to where you were!" I didn't know why I was being this much rude to him but it hurts that we are no more the same best friends.

I turned on my heels and started to move but stopped when I felt his hand on mine, stopping me from moving.
Same feeling of hand as last night.
He can't be.
Nope.
I turned my head and saw him with I don't know what thoughts but the moment our eyes crossed the same path, I saw he was hesitant.
The hulk I know is never hesitant.
Something is wrong.

> Suraj's POV <

She is angry on me.
And the reason is unknown to me.
"Sorry!" She said.
May be for the words she just told.
I want to ask her 1000s of questions but what can I do when the distance between us is unmeasurable.
That is how she is making it.
"Are you alright?"
Her eyes are just going here and there but not lifting towards mine.
Has she found what really happened last night?
What is she thinking?
"Why are you here?" she questioned back.
"If we keep on asking questions, we will never be able to talk properly."
"I need to go!" She said and started to move again but with my hands holding hers, she stopped and pulled out her hand from my hold but which I caught immediately.
"Answer my one question then I let you go!"
"I'm not in a mood to reply!"
I can also say the same but I need to know why she is distant with me.

"What did I do to make you look at me like an enemy?"
"I'm not in a mood to answer!" Stubborn she is.
I pulled her to stand in front of me and repeated my question.
"You left me!" She screamed "You left our friendship. You left your home. You left everything and went away. Coming back after 3 years and trying to be like before is worthless." She is in anger "I hate you! You were my best friend but now you are just a stranger whose name I know!"
"Favourite ice cream flavour too!" I added wanting to make her smile but seeing her look, I'm scared.
"I remember everything about my ex best friend! Yeah I remember everything which was a part of you and part of us three years back. Which might have changed! A lot!"
"Nothing has changed!" I'm still the same man who ran away from here to keep our friendship.
She laughed "Oh really?" Shaking her head "Then answer to few questions!"
I know everything about you. A lot more than what you can imagine "What was our puppy's name?"
I smiled! Our puppy that we found on street a long time, back ago. "Princess for a male puppy!" She looked surprised.
"What is the worst nightmare I had?"
"Me never coming back!" Her open wide.
With her anger and words, I feel it is.
Clearing her throat "What is"
"Wait!" I interrupted her "you like white, your favourite objet is the bracelet I offered you which is not with you now. You are scared of losing hair while ageing. Studying the course you are pursuing for your father but at the same time doing online fashioning course. You still run a lot when disturbed. And you are angry over my disappearance and showing your anger in words and actions." I finished as I left her hand.

She tuned and started to move.
I catch up with her "Chor!"
"I hate you!"
"I'm sorry!" I said!
She stopped and turned towards me with a fandom like look before jumping on Me, hugging me tight, getting the life out of me.
"I hate you I hate you I hate you!" She kept on repeating for minutes, giving me punches and slaps.
"I'm really sorry!"

Few minutes passed and she calmed down.
"How do you know about the bracelet?" She questions.
I hesitated for a sec but got to say something which is not a lie "It's not in your hand!"
"Oh!" After a second "Online course?"
"Vivaan said!"
And her expression changed immediately.
"I need to go!" Breaking the hug and standing apart.
"Where?"
"Your house!"
"Huh?"
"I need to go!"
"I will drop you!"
"Hmm!"

I know why she is going there.
She wants to talk to Vivaan.
Hope she doesn't get hurt.
Then how will I say it was me who she kissed.
We just happen to get back along.
Have to wait.
Have to.

> Chakor's POV <

He can't be.
He knows even the questions I was going to ask.
He is still the same.
He is still my best friend.
I feel happy.
I feel so so happy.

"Online courses?" I asked
"Vivaan said!"
I need to talk to him.
And my bracelet. It's not here. May be gripped to my last night dress. Have to check.

And as he said, he rode me to his house as we got to catch up a lot. Especially about him.
But I feel there is something more than that.
Well I will ask him later as I have to talk to Vivaan first.

"See you!" He said as he got lost in his room.
"Vivu!" I opened the door.
"You need to really knock the door yaar!" He said pulling his tee down his torso.
"Sorry!" I said.
"No problem!" He said with his sweet smile "Heee I need your help!"
"Tell Me!" I said as I took a place on his bed.
He sat next to me. "You know that brother is here and he finished his studies and now working!"
"Tell me something I don't know as I have something to ask too!"
"Ask!"
"You started first, so end it up."
"Hmm okay!" Folding his legs over the bed "So next is his marriage!"
"Marriage?" I asked shocked.

He just came now.
If he gets married to a girl who doesn't like me, how will it be Possible! I just now got him back.

"Yeah!" He shrugged "Why shocked yaar! Even you will get married to someone else. It's life!" Someone else? "And you know what? More than bro's wedding, I'm waiting for yours so that I can have a company of my type or mostly bro's type as that unlucky man will be struggling with you!"
He has no feelings for me.
"Are you alright?" Concerned
"Hmm!"
"Well let me ask your help!"
I smiled but inside there was a bit of hurt that Vivu considers me as a good friend only.
"After bro it's me! And as you know, I want it to be a love marriage. So I need your help to find a girl who looks at you in the same way as me and who looks at me in the same way as Maa."
I saw his look on me.
It was different.
Like to make a message pass by.
But then since yesterday I'm assuming a lot, so going to be calm.
"Yep! Sure!" I said with a smile that I tried to make it reach up to my eyes.

I feel like a big burden has lessen.
Why so?
It wasn't what I wanted but even then I'm not that much hurt.
It's like I'm not sure of what I want and what I feel.

"Cool buddy!" He said and side hugged me.
I smiled and got up.
"You wanted to say something!"
"Oh it nothing!" I brushed it off "Just about last night fireworks!"
He smiled "It was different yesterday! And you know what. I like my view from trees more that bro's spot!"
"Spot?"
"Yeah! As he came back, I have to give him back what was his, so is the place!" Joining his hands together "Well from tree branch, it was lovely!"
"He was there?" It can't be.
"Yeah!"

This is not happening.
This can't be.

"See you Vivaan!"
I left from the room when he was screaming what was it as I think my face showed what I was thinking.
Or might I say scared.

I didn't knock on his door.
I just entered to get welcomed by an empty room with water sound from the back side of the walk in closet.
Will talk to him later.
I decided to myself and turned to go back when something caught my eyes.
My bracelet.
What is this means?
No it can't be!
I'm once again a lot more confused.

If it's him.
Why would he kiss back a stranger girl?
Did he get it was me?
Even then why would he do this?
I'm his best friend.
I need to refresh my mind.
I need to.

Without any noise, I took my bracelet and left his room door wide open as I got down.

"Hey dear!" Uncle called.
"Hello!" I forced a smile.
"Breakfast with me!"
"No uncle! Thank you!"
"Formalities with me!" Shaking his head "Too bad!"
He always make me smile even when I don't feel like.
"I need to freshen up uncle."
"I will be waiting for you! Make it quick!" He said with a serious face but ended up with a smile.
How can I refuse him?
He is the sweetest person I know.
I nodded with a smile as I got out of his house.

Taking the decision of telling her about the last night event, the next time we meet, I set the bracelet on the bed side table and went to take a bath.

And when I came back, her bracelet wasn't there.
Where could it have been gone?
I searched all the places but it wasn't there.
I went to Vivaan's room and he was not there.
I got ready and got down to see my dad and brother settled for breakfast.
"Did you came to my room?"
"No bro!" He said as I took a place in front of him.
"Why son?" My dad.
"Nothing dad! It's just I felt I have closed my room door but then it was open!"
"Oh!"
"I forgot I think!"
"Chakor is here!" Mom announced as she opened the main door, letting her enter.

"Finally!" My dad said.
She has changed.
Well as always she takes less time only to get ready.
And with that little nothing of simple powder and light color dress, she looks like an angel.
Just the infinity bracelet is mis how is it possible?
As my eyes went to her left hand as she sat on my right, I feel like I'm looking at an alien.
She came to my room.
She got the bracelet.
Did she came to know who it was?
Is she hating me?

She turned to my side and smiled a smile that I couldn't place in its category.

She looked in my eyes and I felt something different.
Really different.

From that moment, she didn't look at me but her that bracelet was so visible to my eyes from every single angles of my views.
Is she trying to pass a message?
She is just waiting to get a reply!
That must be the case.

We finished our breakfast as soon as possible and I saw her get up and leave to kitchen first.
And as I finished my plate, I followed her to kitchen, which is a bit far from the dining table as the dining table is set near the hall, to watch TV ...

The moment I entered the kitchen, the door got closed, with fresh air coming from the open window.
As I turned to the door, I saw her, standing there, with a curious expression and folded hands.
I put the plate on the surface of the washing machine and folded my hands as I took support of the kitchen stands.
I can't let her get me just like this.
She is Chor and she will be Chakor always.
Stealing my heart was one the worst and best thing she did, so that name will always stay like that.

"So?" she started as she tapped on her bracelet as my eyes moved to her hand and then back to her face.
I looked at the door as if wanting to tell her that it's crazy to close the door as anyone can come now.
"Uncle and Vivu leave their plates on table and Aunt just started to have her breakfast." she knows to reply to my questions without me asking.
She raised her eyebrow and a smile broke in to my lips without any reasons.
She looks so cute.
And her face change to another cute angry mode.
How I wish to pull her chubby cheeks.
"I hate you!" she announced.
I didn't want to hide anymore. I have decided to tell her, so it's better to say it now than later. Gaining all the courage, looking in her eyes, I said "You know what I feel for you!"
"We are friends!" she said and I felt like she said it to herself more than to me.
"Shocked or scared?"
"Shocked!" she sighed "Was I the reason for you to go away?"
"You are the reason I'm back here!"
Shaking her head "You are going to marry the person Uncle and Aunt choose!"
"Do you want me to lose you again?"
"Why are you doing this to me?" I can feel from her voice that the strong bubble around her is bursting.
"It wasn't my intention to hurt you!" I said as I approached her.
"I hate you Hulk! I hate you!" she threw herself on me as she started to hug me, slap me, and kick me.
"I love you too!" as I took her in my embrace, stopping her from moving.

> Chakor's POV <

The only thought that was running my mind was 'Why it's him?'
I didn't know Hulk had feelings for me.
It's the biggest shock of my life.
When I think of it, I started to have billions of questions.
Did he left because of this feelings?
Is that the reason why he didn't contact me all these years?
Then why did he came suddenly?
From questions concerning him, I transited to questions concerning US.
Do I like him?
What should I say to him?
Won't he be heartbroken if I say NO?
Won't I feel sad or distanced if he gets married to someone else?
In that case do I want him for myself?
Then what about the feeling I had for Vivaan?
It might be infatuation but I never thought of Hulk like that!
Oh my dear god, why are you testing me?

With all the thoughts running, I headed up to take a short bath as I'm running out of time for breakfast with uncle.
The best part is I don't need to inform Maa as uncle has already called and informed.
And there comes another question!
What will be the reactions of our parents?
Well I didn't still say YES or NO, but what if they feel dishearted knowing this?
What should I say him?

After the short bath, I got ready quickly and opened Google to search an important thing?
'How to find if he is my friend or lover?'
And went to the first website with 18 questions of YES & NO replies.
With the speed I can read, I was sure to end it in few minutes!

I didn't want to believe it, so continued the rest of the questions.

I was shocked but then as all those questions replayed in my mind, my thoughts came clear.
I got up from my bed and went to my mirror as I picked my bracelet while I mumbled "I hate you Hulk!" before leaving my room, leaving my home to go to his.

As I entered, he was already sat.
He was talking to his father but then became calm seeing me.
As I took a place by his side, I took care of him seeing the bracelet in my hands and there he saw it and his expression was priceless.
If I was not serious about talking to him, I would have laughed out loud.
We had our breakfast and I was the first one to get up.
Feeling his eyes on me, I could clearly say he is going to follow me in.
So I was well prepared with open window to close the kitchen main door.

He was first surprised but then his demur changed and I got scared.
I don't want to give in, so I put my strong mask and stood there "So?"
Instead of replying me, he was admiring that waste door!
So I have to tell him that for now, no one is going to come.
And he smiles!
He has become a nut case!
Need to take him to mental hospital.
"I hate you!" I added.

The same day, he called for both our parents and talked for marriage.
And as they were already thinking about it, there was no need to have a debate over it.
Soon things started to move fast and now, I'm Mrs. Chakor Suraj Rajvanshi.
Well Mrs. Hulk. That is how Vivu calls me.
Now I know that, the feeling I had for him was nothing more than a simple question of being close at that age while all these years Hulk had an important place in me.

"So Mrs. Hulk! When are you going to start the Bride search event for me?" Vivu as he entered the room while I was putting the last of bangles.
"Is this the way to talk to me! I'm the elder DIL of this house!"
"I'm really sorry Bhabiji(SIL)!" he started with a worried face that turned evil suddenly "Be aware that I'm your Friend first! Then do all these dramas! Well! Anyways, your hubby is there to enjoy your dramas! So don't waste time one me!"
"Youuu" How dare he speaks ill about Hulk. I wanted to throw the Pond's power box on him but Hulk entered the room, showing his packs and muscles.
"HmmHmmHmm" Vivu cleared his throat "I'm still here!"
"No one invited you!" I said.
"Ouch!" with his hand on his heart "Bro! I lost my friend!" he said in a dramatic way as he made his way out "Dad called you both!" back in his normal voice as he disappeared.
"Liking what you see!" he teased as he came closer.
"I just now got ready!" with my hands stopping him "Get ready! Uncle is waiting!"
"I was waiting for years for this day!"
I think he got my look, so he added "To make Mrs. Hulk!" he winked and I blushed.
Ouf! I don't know since when he started to have these effects one me.
"I should have listened to aunt and get ready in their room!"
"No problem Chor! This action of yours is not a mistake."

And he pulled me by my hand, towards him, as my frame collided with his, sending shivers down my spine.
"You look cute!"
"I'm not" I started angrily but couldn't finish.
"Kids!" Uncle "Time for Roman Candles! Showing up or not?"
"Sorry dad!" Hulk replied as I looked at him questioningly.
"Okay! See you then for dinner!" uncle said and then silence.
"I wanted to see." I told him.
"Enough of seeing!" he said tilting my head as I looked on what he was going to do, then he kissed me, kissed me with a break, leaving me breathless and wanting "Time for action under the Roman Candles!" and I didn't get what he meant.
As I opened my mouth to ask him, all I could say was two words "Roman Candles?" as he took me to a unknown world of love.

Everything started under the lights.
Everything happened under the magic.
Everything blossomed under the sparkles.
Dreams became fate and surprises became wishes.
And I became complete under the 'Roman Candles'!
