The Jodhpur Sessions Court today announced its verdict in the blackbuck poaching case of 1998. Salman Khan, who is one of the accused has been found guilty by the court while Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam have been acquitted. Salman Khan is convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act for hunting two blackbucks in Jodhpur's Kankani village when they were filming Sooraj Barjatya's Hum Saath Saath Hain.

All the movies he is currently part of would bear the brunt of the 5-year jail term. Salman's lawyer though believes that he could have gotten lesser punishment had he produced the sad expression required on a client's face. But his acting skills are not good enough to make a sad face. I had a conversation with him that a sad face generally reduces punishment, but then it is actually difficult for him to make that sad face after doing too many actions and comedy movies.

Salman Khan has already finished most of the shoot Race 3. In fact, he recently wrapped up the abudhabi schedule of the film and returned. The film is slated for an Eid release. If Salman Khan gets a longer jail term, it'll will directly have an effect on the promotions of the film

His other films: Dabangg 3 and Bharat were in preproduction stages and as far as Kick 2 is concerned, it was just announced. It is expected that these films will now be shelved, considering Dabangg 3 and Bharat were his home productions and Kick 2 is backed by his close friend Sajid Nadiadwala
