Forbidden Waters!!

We all love Sameer and Naina. We love it when they romance with their eyes. We love it when they say those magical words to each other. We love it when they care for each other. We love it when they feel for each other. We love every aspect of Sameer and Naina.

Was it right for us to feel bad when Sameer Shouted at Naina? As a woman I feel bad when I see another woman being treated badly. Sisterhood feelings does pop up in almost all women when they see one of their kind being treated badly and that too when all she did was trying to be nice.

So why did I not feel bad at the scene where he got angry at her for taking that picture. Was it his charm and handsome face, that captivated me to forget the pain of a young 17 yr old girl?? All she did was , take a pic so that she can give it to him, her lover boy rt?? His attitude was nowhere close to being a gentleman!! His ego also did show up as he was leaving the room. He wanted to take that photo with him but he didn't . He just left!! Does that mean he will never be able to love her??

Why did Naina not stop him. Why did she not go behind him?? Did she hate him?? Will she stop loving him?? Is it the end of their love story?? NOPE!! It's THE BEGINNING OF THEIR LOVE STORY. We need to understand that , if Sameer emotes his sadness , frustration, and loneliness thru anger. Then Naina does it thru her silence.

That is the reason why I couldn't hate that scene. All I saw was his love and care for her. He feels she belongs to him emotionally and now physically !! Just that he is very new with these feelings and he doesn't know how to handle it. Imagine he sees that picture of her in that pose ( probably something that the photographer must have suggested) and got angry because he saw her in a different light at that point. For Sameer , she is his friend. He loves her. He has wanted to hold her hand. Has he really imagined her like man imagines about his woman ?? That carnal need of a man to see his woman as a mate for intimacy has never popped up in his mind. This photo ignited those feelings which was unknown to him. And this thought lead to the FB and then you know what happened.

THE MAN in him was awakened by that photo. The man in him wanted her for himself. The man in him wanted to protect her from all the prying eyes . The man in him wanted to keep her safe. The man in him wanted to love because "THE MAN IN HIM WANTED HER AS HIS MATE.

Forbidden waters when touches your feet , you are bound to be scared and angry . You don't know if it is right or wrong. Sameer was right in the middle of that forbidden water. If he spoke his fear loud to her , would she have understood? What would she think about him? Would she hate him? He knows his Naina and her Naivety. He knows she is like an untouched blossom that has not completely bloomed to a flower ,to understand the depth of such forbidden waters. And he didn't want to scare her .
All he could do was to get angry and walk away.

He was right in his judgment. She didn't understand why he was angry . She was sad at his behavior but she knew something was not right. She knows his anger but till date , he has never been so angry with her as he was today. Did that scare her ?? Yes it did but that didn't stop her from loving him!! It brought her closer making her wanting to understand what made him angry. All she could do was to go back into her shell , her silence ...and think!!

Once he cools down , he understood his reaction wasn't right . He needed to talk to her . When he did , some self-realization happened - His anger is destroying his happiness. To top it all , when he heard about her failure , his guilt increased. He felt bad , that he got angry at her when all she did was to love him to such an extant that she failed in what she used to excel. Did he want his love to destroy her ?? No!! That was not the reason why he wanted her in his life. He wanted her to succeed . He wanted her to be happy. Then on we see a couple, "RISING IN LOVE.

In spite of all this he couldn't tell her why he was angry with that photo...but we all know the famous dialogue "Picture abhi baki hain mere dosth. She is not going to let go this topic and he will have to tell her...when ?? don't know...but one day its going to come out from him...and we are such lovely audience who can wait for that scene...cant we ??!!

For now , we know for sure that they are a couple. We saw their first official fight and patch up as a couple!! As people who love Sameer , Naina and their love story, we should rejoice .

Wonderful post...yes he feels of naina like a man feels for his woman...he was protective...he is going through a different phase ...Naina has seen his anger before... during that bet scene...bt now this anger was care Wala anger...love Wala anger...n hence naina could not speak anything...she just remained silent...now they have come very far...bt yet there are many phases which they have to experience together...Naina belongs to sameer and sameer belongs to naina...they both have understood this for themselves...bt yet they have to make each other believe this...nw this is the new phase of their love life!!!

Best post till date. Equivovacally voices sameer and naina's stance! This is what even i had been saying in various posts that had been made my innumerable members of the forum. You highlighted every point so beautifully and brought to the fore the underlying essence of the episode. Loved it!

I don't have words yaar...you've presented it all so beautifully! Yes, Sameer knows the realities of life. But perhaps his love for Naina is so pure that he didn't imagine her and him being that intimate as yet. Remember when Mundit have to tell Sameer that he must now hold her hand. I mean takes Mundit to tell this to Sameer. The Sameer Maheshwari- who had an ex..a casual affair in class 10th. That Sameer who had absolutely no qualms in kissing the hand of girl he didn't love (or so he thought at that time). The Sameer who knows about aisi vaisi filmein...watches English films...yet I don't think even the thought of kissing Naina has crossed his mind as yet. I love the way CVs have been building up their intimacy- from love filled eyelocks n gazes, to trying to hold hands, to hand holds n then the way they want to preserve that first touch of hands was absolute magic. And now, they seem to be more comfortable as per flashbacks- Naina and Sameer now feed each other with their own hands...unlike the day of Sameer's birthday when Naina felt conscious of eating from his hand. Or Naina'a daydream in jungle on QSQT...even in her day dream, she didn't eat from Sameer's hands. But now, even she has now warmed upto the idea. Slowly she'll realize if you love someone, physical intimacy- the pleasure of touching the person you love is inevitable.

Beautiful and exact analysis as always. I too pointed out in Nivi's post that his 'ego' dwelled in parting moments and as discussed before both are in hormonal mess.
