Reason behind trp

Can anybody tell me how these damn trps ka calculated ... Why Sony shows have so low trps when compared to other channels ...as far as i know yeh un dino ki baat hai is hugely popular show ... Its all over social media everytime still it has low trps only opening week and 2nd week had trps above 1... Afterthat in marriage track it could manage 0.9 i i think then its 0.8 ... What is the reason behind ? I think when balh aired it manged decent trps then much above the current shows. Whyy all the other channels have high trp not ours even bepannah had roaring trp in first week itself whats wrong with sony ... Pls if anybody knows kindly comment 😕

I agree...I feel moore than the shows, the channel itself is a litle underrated..because ss farvas I can see...sony has delivered the most unique consepts till now..unlike star, zee and colors who are ruling with their already done and dustes consepts which majourity if the trp aunties love to watch again and agai...
I still feel tha show is doings wonders keeping the 10pm slot in mind...
I feel the show has the ability to give a huge competition if itvwas in main slot as it can attract all range of ahe..yougesters because of teenage lovestory and olders because of the 90s backdrop..but on the other side it seems also good that our show is not in the main slot compition..and think agar trp stable rahekn gi jahan hain toh there is nothing to fear...but ofcourse te show deserve higher trp...

That's the problem with Sony shows. Most of the ppl watch it online and trp is calculated if watched on TV, but not how one may think. like you and me watching on TV wouldn't help in increasing trp unless we have BARC meter installed on our tv set.

The technicality of calculating trp:

BARC had installed around 40K meters covering whole India, they take sample of random meters weekly and calculate trp accordingly.

Sweetie they can not cover every House Hold right? Sampling is done always for surveys. Puri population aap kbhi bhi study nhi kr skte ek sath 😊
