Otherwise Akshay has more career hits than Salman. But is he a bigger star? No

Because Salman gives 300 cr blockbuster which Akshay can't even dream in his life

List which u saw on BOI is till 1994. they yet to update earlier films. Pre-1994 Akshay has only 1 Hit that is Khiladi which adds up to 27 & Salman has 3 hits - MPK, Saajan & Sanam Bewafa which makes it 28.

I think Varun is now a brand like Sallu(ofcourse not at the scale of Bai ofcourse) because he is clicked among the audience.

A producer can invest money on him without fear because it is sure he won't go bankrupt..Varuns name is enough to bring back atleast the production cost if not any profit..That's called stardom.

Same cannot be said about the rest you mentioned...they largely depends on the script/costars/director..only their name is not enough to pull people to theatre..

So I would say right now it's Varuns time...but it can change anytime.

Firstly, as mentioned above Padmaavat just reached 284, not 300

Secondly, if u have noticed the top 2 both features Deepika. So bring Varun and Deepika together and we shall then talk about records.

and finally, How can u say Baaghi 2 will reach 180 cr ?? Except for Salman and Aamir's movies, most of the big Weekend movies could only double their collections from the weekend(or even less). Eg Singham Returns, Bang Bang,HNY, MS Dhoni and even PRDP !!

So Baaghi to will collect Max 150 cr which is very close to Varun's 3 years old DILWALE !!
