First of all, Im not a regular here but i do watch the show!
Secondly, this post is strictly about the character of Satya, and not about the actor playing him.
Lemme vent now!😆
Satya might be one of the worst ML that I came across in a drama, and I have watched so many, in so many different languages! One moment he is professing his love loud and clear and the next he is getting romantic with another and you know what's the heights...The freaking vamp has to say 'hey, im not your wife.' like WTH
Post marriage...i started watching the show on and off because of the language that Satya uses towards Susheel, to quote 'Kutti' which i think is quite deplorable coming from a Male lead. Of course, you have to portray angst in a love hate drama, but come on, there are other ways to do that! Is that love that the CV's are trying to portray here? I wonder.
The other day was plain disgusting...I could not even complete the episode. I'm only watching because I want Susheel to become stronger and kick them around! I have probably never despised a ML as much as I've despised the character of Satya...no matter what show i've watched, I have always shipped the OTP and i did ship these 2 as well. However, currently, it is so difficult to do that...so, so difficult that i want another ML (which i know will never happen😆) and Satya can be the villain for all i care...
I know that one day the CVs will bring them together by showing some remorse, a tiny winy bit of redemption...I think that will be the end of the show for me!
We have come across so many angry young man and they all had a reason to be so. However, with Satya you just can't get it...I know that he has been deprived of attention but his character is so unstable that i wonder whether they really put thoughts in developing his character. You dont understand when he is in love, when he cares and when and why he is avenging...One moment he chastises Susheel for thinking that he could cheat on her and in the next episode he does that exactly!! Epitome of irony, maybe😕
Thing with ML are that they begin with a flaw and then are then developed throughout and for us, audiences, it is always nice to see the turnaround. I don't know how that would happen with Satya, especially since he basically shows no sign of remorse.
I strictly believe, and you may disagree, that he is beyond the path of redemption. Yes, he can change and become a better person, but a Male Lead material? Strictly No.
Unless they introduce a track where his doppelganger is doing all these crap and he has been kidnapped or something😆😆 Knowing Indian dramas, this is not totally impossible
Idk what the future track holds but it would be so out of character for Susheel to forgive Satya. And if this show is about defying expectations, then, I hope that the future tracks shows us a strong Susheel with an equally strong ML, a quality which i believe is not inherent in Satya!
This show can become empowering if the CVs wishes, but showing a romance between these two might defeat the very purpose of the show...
Phewww...thats one of the longest post I've written in a while!😆
So, enough of the cynical me, and tell me, do you think that Satya, the character, is worthy of being a male lead opposite Susheel?
