Baaghi 2 Has Extraordinary First Weekend - 73 Cr

Baaghi 2 has had extraordinary first weekend of 73 crore nett apprx with many single screens recording highest weekend figures of all time. The multiplex numbers may not be record breaking but are still huge. The film had brand value and an action filled trailer so the initial was coming but it has gone to level which was unthinkable.

The Sunday numbers are monstrous considering the huge number on day one which was a holiday so to go above that first day number means that the mass markets have take to the film. The film grossed a huge 21 crore nett plus in Mumbai and around 15 nett plus in Delhi /UP. East Punjab was 6.75 crore nett plus. Bihar was aan ALL TIME RECORD at 3.75 crore nett plus (higher than Bahubali - The Conclusion in terms of NETT collections though not GROSS).

The weekend itself ensures a HIT film as no matter what happens the film is crossing the 50 share mark. The first test is Monday and on the trend it should hold well especially outside the metros. Then if the Monday holds it will be down to the second Friday which will tell how far this film can go.

The figures of Baaghi (2016) which were 76.06 crore nett have been almost beaten in the weekend itself. It will be the biggest Tiger Shroff film by Monday and even in adjusted figures it will probably be the biggest Tiger Shroff film by the end of business on Monday.

Baaghi 2 had another fantastic day as it picked up 20.50 crore nett apprx after the huge 25 crore nett on day one. This takes its two day total to 45.50 crore nett and it is already the second highest weekend of the year in just two days after Padmaavat.

The drop was coming after as it was a holiday on day one but considering how the first day was this drop of around 17-18% is hardly anything. The film could easily make up this drop and more on Sunday if the mass comes again like on the first day. Even if it is unable to go to first day levels it will still have chances to emerge a blockbuster.

The film could be among the top fifteen weekend of all time which will a huge achievement for Baaghi 2 and many of the films above it will be the Eid, Diwali and Christmas films. The all India numbers may be lower than Tiger Zinda Hai but at many single screens it has recorded higher collections than that film over the first two days.

In fact in some cinemas in UP and Bihar it has set ALL TIME RECORDS and this includes beating the mighty Bahubali - The Conclusion which shows how big the film is in these places initially.
