Being sexually harassed is no more treated as a matter of shame but a lesson to spread awareness and warn other women from falling prey to such lustful men. However, despite this progressive movement, Rakul Preet decided to keep mum when asked about casting couch in the film industry. She in fact defended saying, "People have been talking about casting couch a lot. But I just feel that they talk more about us because we are under the scanner and the limelight. I personally have done so many films and I have never, ever come across a single person who has tried to act funny with me. While she could have been the lucky one to escape it all. It's wrong to generalise and make it seem as if the actresses who are admitting to being victims are lying.

Telugu actress Madhavi Latha (Nacahvule fame) could not tolerate Rakul's statement. During a live channel debate, she accused her of lying and underlined how most actresses do not speak up about their experience of the casting couch since they are afraid of losing their jobs and putting their career's in jeopardy. Sri Reddy (Aravind 2 fame) also reiterated that the Rakul Preet should have spoken the truth and helped create awareness about casting couch to help the younger women who enter the film industry with hopes and aspirations. (As reported on Indiaglitz).

However, Rakul is unapologetic about her statements. After watching the debate, she condemned the comment made by the anchor and said, "It's disgraceful. When I first saw the video, I didn't believe it... whether something like this had happened on the channel or wondered if someone had sent a forward just to create controversy. Just imagine, from the actors' point of view... my parents don't know Telugu, but if they understood that news, what will they think? They'll think this is the industry I'm working in. Whose side are you on? Do you think Rakul should have stepped forward being more progressive in her approach?

Don't get me wrong...but i find this idea of spreading awareness about casting couch pretty stupid...because when actresses go through such incidents they actually kept quiet, they only speak up after their career is stable and they r in a position to speak up...isn't it hypocrisy...what's the point of awareness if you can't stand up against the time ur facing it

Have to give it out to Mukesh Chabra for casting the film so perfectly. Look at the reel and real images and you see they are spot on.
