Baaghi 2 is set to emerge a BLOCKBUSTER as the film hold strongly on Saturday though it is the Monday number which will confirm this status. The film is looking at a drop of 15-20% on day two which means it should cross the 20 crore nett mark on the second day. A strong showing in metro multiplexes in the evening could even take it higher.
The second day number is the fair value opening of day one taking out the holiday factor and a 20 crore value for a non holiday is excellent for Baaghi 2. So even if we take out the holiday factor it still will probably remain the biggest opening for a young star. The drop on the second day also indicates a good trend for the film and a huge weekend.
The outstanding business of the film can be illustrated by the fact that it will cross big star films like Pad Man in 4-5 days and Raid within a week.
The film also set an ALL TIME RECORD opening day in Bihar as it grossed 1.27 crore nett which is even higher than Bahubali - The Conclusion which grossed 1.08 crore nett. The top three opening days in Bihar are as follows.
1. Baaghi 2 - 1,28,00,000
2. Babhubali - The Conclusion - 1,08,00,000
3. Tiger Zinda Hai - 1,01,00,000
These are the only three films to have a crossed 1 crore nett in Bihar on day one. The tax change has been a boost to films in Bihar so in GROSS numbers Bahubali - The Conclusion is 5 lakhs better but for Baaghi 2 to be in the range of that film in an extraordinary achievement.
