Baaghi 2 Set For Highest Opening Day Of 2018

Baaghi 2 is heading for the highest opening day of around 19-20 crore nett and the figure could even go a little higher in the morning. The previous best was 18.21 crore nett of Padmaavat which will be crossed by Baaghi 2. That film did not release in some markets but still its screen count was higher

The film will be one of the biggest openings ever by a young star with the Ranbir Kapoor starrers Besharam and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani leading the list. These films were some time ago and no young star has ever gone over the 20 crore nett mark.

There was M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story which crossed 20 crore nett but that cant really be credited to the hero as it was the cricketers brand which bought the audience in. The opening of Baaghi 2 is excellent all over even with markets like Kerala showing strong numbers.

The opening again proves how big a genre action is, it may not be the best genre in terms of a long run unless backed by strong emotions and a love story but with the game today being about the initial there is huge potential in the genre.

The film has gone ahead of all Tiger Shroff films by leaps and bounds and that is even allowing for the holiday. Tomorrow will tell what is the fair value of this opening but it will be the highest for Tiger Shrodd even taking fair value into account.

The job is more or less done for the film with this sort of start unless it does a Besharam but that should not happen as the film looks a more a real film as compared to that. Obviously a drop will be noticed over the next two days but as long as its not huge it will be a very strong weekend for the film.
