I will say that KK's friendship with Mr. Sinha is formidable. KK and Mr. Sinha have such a transparent and equal bond. KK's love especially shines through with immense concern and adoration. What I love the most is how this love and respect for each other extends to the other's children. Mr. Sinha's concern and admiration for Anu, KK's concern and nagging for Sid. I love it, I love all of it. Especially where Mr. Sinha will softly jab at Sid, KK will overlook that to empower Sid even more. Almost as if KK sees an echo of himself in Sid. The fact that there is no malice from these two patriarchs makes the bond between Anu and Sid, that much more believable. KK and Mr. Sinha are the glue to the show, it is their friendship that creates the changing dynamics and relationships, the reason why these relationships exist in the first place.
When Anu comes down for breakfast she finds herself sitting next to Sidhanth, they reach for the same bowl and the awkwardness ensues 😆 But it is when Anushka asks Prabhakar how many cases he's fought, and when the answer is 3000 vs Sidhanth's measly 36, we know Anushka meant to be vindictive. She's trying to bring Sid's airy ways back to the ground, but we know that Sid doesn't see this as a way of humility, instead he finds it insulting. That yet again Anu is showing him who he really is. But KK once again comes to Sid's defense when he calls him talented, 'woh apna baccha hai', and again we know this bond is deeper than we realize. It is of family, it is of togetherness. Yet KK asks Anu if she would hire Sid to Reddy Corp. and when she replies that she believes in Prabhakar's view that Sid is too immature and inexperienced for the company, then she would be forced to agree.
Sidhanth hears her and yet again he feels that deep-rooted frustration that Anushka doesn't believe in him and what he's capable of. He wants so much for her to believe in him, he needs it, and yet everytime the picture shows him the opposite. When he comes forward to pick the keys he'd forgotten, the look he gives Anushka is jaan leva. Sidhanth wants to say so much but is able to convey everything with his eyes. He is hurt, he is frustrated and he is angry in her disbelief in him.
When we see Anu again she is lost in her own thoughts, and soon we're transported back in time. Anu as a teenager who learns of the trust test and who in Sidhanth's garden falls backward without even telling him what she's doing, and Sidhanth who catches her. Because he'd never let her fall. When we see Sidhanth again he is resolved to prove Anushka and his father wrong. It seems where Sidhanth in the past never let Anushka fall, he seems to continue to make zero impact on her in the future. Where did these two go wrong? Where did their frustrations begin to colour their faith in each other? Anu harboured immense faith in Sid so has it been lost now? Or has she hidden it away in an effort to notch down his very obvious arrogance and conceited nature?
Sidhanth's relationship with his father is very strained to say the least. He is hardened to become a man of his own and continues to go out of his way to ensure that happens. Prabhakar it seems has little faith in his son's ability to stand on his own merit, or perhaps it is his own way of encouraging Sidhanth's stubborn nature? It's possible that Prabhakar's way of encouraging Sidhanth to do his best is to constantly reel him in from his own arrogance. It is ironically, the same thing Anushka does. Prabhakar and Anushka both try to ensure Sidhanth's arrogance doesn't destroy him, but Sidhanth's inability to construe that as it should be, he takes it as a slight against him. Which makes him work even harder to prove what he believes that they believe is wrong. He has such a hardened nature that the two people's who's opinions matter the most, his father and Anu's, he thinks have the least faith in him. Which honestly may not be true, and to some extent certainly isn't.
The precap showed Sidhanth professing to Anushka that he will not let any harm come to Anu's brother, even if harm befalls himself. It is that earnest, almost desparate genuineness that appeals to Anushka. Sidhanth will fight the world if it means Anushka will believe in him again, and the way he says it to her is what she wants most. She wants to see the raw, unfiltered version of Sidhanth. The version of him that isn't an arrogant pretense, but instead the one who would do anything for her. ANd by God it seems like he will.
