I started watching the show around the Karwachauth track (bothered to catch up only on the AKK bit), and it has been nothing but a heartache since then.
Most of the time, nothing makes sense in the show. Nothing.
Latest issue being Shiv telling Sharanya he was found abandoned at the steps of the temple when he was just a 3 day old baby, and now we are seeing pictures of an older baby with the star cast, that leads me to infer this child will be shown having to do something with the Bedis or the Kapoors, so what is with the abandonment story Shiv told Sharanya?
Even if they show people, the Bedis &/or the Kapoors, kept a tab on him (hence the interaction with an older baby), why doesnt he know anything about it as logically, the Ashram guys would have told Shiv something about this, if not the entire thing.
And I will refrain from speaking about how stupid Sharanya is shown to be behaving these days (that is a lost cause and talking about it will just get my BP high), and how ineffective Shiv-Sharanya plannings are, and how, magically, Vyom is always one step ahead of them and knows everything, including exactly what is Shiv saying and how he is framing his thoughts!! It cant be passed off as 'he knew his "best friend" very well'! That is just lazy, ridiculous writing.
The entire "Vyom this. Vyom that" stance Sharanya now has is very off, logically and plot progression wise. In Shiv's place, I would have have just left her with her "best friend" as her arguments for having that stance is ridiculous beyond belief, and not really worth the headache.
I always felt they wanted to show Shiv as a -ve character; they had to change the decision to make the show work, and hence ended up doing a complete 180 degree on his character and got left with huge, illogical plot holes, as there is no other logical way to explain why he was shown as such a menacing presence when all he wanted to do was remind Sharanya about his existence, and their lovely relationship.
I mean they had shown plants dying, Nawab getting scared and all in his presence!!! How is it possible to show such a malevolence spirit become so benevolent when the core motivation hasn't changed?
I really liked Namik in EDKV, and wanted to see some desi romantic show, so EDT became the solution to my problem.
I stuck to this as I found Namik better than my expectations here (especially in the romantic scenes), some traits of Sharanya's character very enjoyable, Vikram's acting and some Shiv-Sharanya flashbacks are fun to watch (though most of the time, they are just fillers, especially nowadays, and do nothing to:
1. Give new information
2. Help in plot progression)
Nowadays I switch on the TV when the show comes, read a book a book while it is airing, look up and pay attention to the show only when Namik comes on screen, otherwise the channel can pull the plug on this show as far as I am concerned.
