Man, I have been so disappointed that I could even come on the forum and discuss the episodes. Its getting stupider than ever!
First, the CVs dragged the stupid track of Sharanya's amnesia to beyond a limit, got a headstrong girl take a decision as stupid as getting married to someone who everyone said loves her, but she doesn't feel anything for him! No offense to VAnya fans, I love Vikram as an actor and I think he nails it as the psycho Vyom but freaking how can u take such a huge decision of marriage in a split second and just coz u feel a GHOST is trying to screw up ur life?! There are paranormal experts who would've helped and made more sense!

Then, Shanny gets her memory back and remembers Shiv as the good guy, her soulmate. What I fail to understand is how did CVs make Shiv so negative initially and then made his character do a complete U-turn? Same with Vyom! He was shown as the good guy and in one episode he is a freaking psycho like what the hell is going on?!

Now our hot ghostji started speaking also, but then he hardly has anything to do, he has been under utilised, like what the hell?! If the ghost is the hero then show more scenes of his cmon!

And then Sharanya's f**king jasoosi, that girl should be what, 23 in the show? Or 20? idk but where are the brains?! She is making it so clear to Vyom so many times that she's got her memory back and talking to Shiv openly and LOUDLY like girl, get some brains or take some of mine!

And CVs are hell bent on showing Vyom as the smart one and ShivAnya as stupid, Vyom seems to know everything going on, every plan of ShivAnya and he is ALWAYS a step ahead!

Then lets come to Odhni and Freddy, these two would've made a fab team to help ShivAnya and would actually add some fun and thrilling element to the show. But Odhni's made to be the one who's always trying to save her butt or hide and Freddy ne toh aisa U-turn liya ki uski toh 🤬

I am so bloody disappointed. This show had potential. It could've been fab. But the makers only dont seem to know where they want to take the show. They had an amazing starcast, and they have literally WASTED it. Actors like Namik, Donal, Vikram, Amar, Delnaaz...and they have managed to make a show that just moves in a circle, no no no growth at all!

I'll continue watching it since I have already invested so much of time and energy in the show, but I am hoping this season 2 turns out to be much better, they need to really focus on the writing and the story

Ashley you are right
.Absolutely my thoughts..I visited this forum to put my thoughts about this show. Wher it is heading? What waste of talents!
Look at like script writers doesn't know what to write...
I think they don't think more than 2 episodes ahead

So the logic, IQ of characters goes for toss...

Totally loved ur post. But still I can't stop myself by watching further since I love Namik to the core. Btw I started to like Vikram. He is such a talented actor. And I like Donal's look n attires they give her for the flashback scenes n her acting her bubbly n naughty character in those clg flashbacks. All in all it's all cv's fault. They drag it nowhere when the road of making it sensible is clearly visible.

I have noticed this that no one is satisfied with the show, even those constantly watching the show for the storyline, be it for Vikram, Donal or Namik... Everything from characters( Vyom,Shiv,Sharanya)to the storyline are underutilized..Was in love with the character Vyom from episode 1, but suddenly he took 180 degree change from protagonist to antagonist after 58 whole episodes, they made him so evil that I know apart from me only few people like him now which is to be expected considering he is a mass muderer and a psycho, about Shiv, it would have been better if they have shown atleast 10-15 episodes on his past,so we could have know him that way, shown a bit more expressions in him,and if they had made him back to being alive it would be even better, Sharanya I don't understand that as to why is she still living in dangerous bedi house? Coz she wants to investigate the killer? That sound quite funny and stupid.
I wish seaon 2 is much better than this otherwise these 130 episodes are enough torture for everyone.. Someone tell the directors keh na Toh Vikram aur nah hi Namik Paul fans satisfied hei is storyline Se,so for the people who think keh sirf Vyom ke saath ya phir sirf Shiv keh saath bohot bura Ho rha hei wo dono ghalat hei, everyone is in the same boat no one is satisfied with their fave actor's role..both of these actors deserve better than this
Btw I love both the male leads both are very handsome and talented actors, never seen them before this drama.

I totally agree with your post...word by word!!

I started watching this show late and I finished all 34 episodes in 2 days back to back and caught up with the show...such was the excitement level...now I am plainly disappointed with how the show has turned out to be...Sharanya ke baare mein kuch na bolun toh acha hai...!

I completely agree with the point of Shiv's character depiction flaw too...I haven't missed a single epi till Ateet ki khulaasa, and if I am not wrong Shiv always has acted creepy around Sharanya, and even during that mirror trap set by Sharanya, when she saw Shiv's face in the mirror, he gave an evil smile and not this innocent helpless look he has now...after the confrontation, it's a total u-turn of all characters...and Shiv claims to just remind his love of life Sharanya about him, in all those creepy scary mannerisms...

Vyom is able to do anything and everything...he can fly in the air...speak in double voices...do yoga stunts in the name of possession drama...and that unnecessary molestation track...when Sharanya already agreed to marry him, why would he even do that drama?? He can kill anybody in a second, and easily transport the bodies too with no single soul watching him...probably he goes invisible while he does all his crimes...

At one place Shiv pushes down the lamp post while Sharanya's dad drives by...on the other hand he feels bad for not helping him...Shiv is a ghost who can be anywhere and if he had utilized the time instead of pointlessly roaming with Sharanya, by following Vyom and Rajan, by now he would have found out who killed him...

Rajan used to abuse Madhavi and treat her like crap at the beginning by throwing water over her while asleep, man-handling and physical abuse...and one fine day he becomes the praan-nath of Madhavi who loves her so much and who can even kill his son for her...

All the characters have just lost their identity and it's not the same Ek Deewaana Tha anymore! Stopped watching this show since long and just seeing updates in Twitter.

I started watching the show around the Karwachauth track (bothered to catch up only on the AKK bit), and it has been nothing but a heartache since then.
Most of the time, nothing makes sense in the show. Nothing.

Latest issue being Shiv telling Sharanya he was found abandoned at the steps of the temple when he was just a 3 day old baby, and now we are seeing pictures of an older baby with the star cast, that leads me to infer this child will be shown having to do something with the Bedis or the Kapoors, so what is with the abandonment story Shiv told Sharanya?
Even if they show people, the Bedis &/or the Kapoors, kept a tab on him (hence the interaction with an older baby), why doesnt he know anything about it as logically, the Ashram guys would have told Shiv something about this, if not the entire thing.

And I will refrain from speaking about how stupid Sharanya is shown to be behaving these days (that is a lost cause and talking about it will just get my BP high), and how ineffective Shiv-Sharanya plannings are, and how, magically, Vyom is always one step ahead of them and knows everything, including exactly what is Shiv saying and how he is framing his thoughts!! It cant be passed off as 'he knew his "best friend" very well'! That is just lazy, ridiculous writing.

The entire "Vyom this. Vyom that" stance Sharanya now has is very off, logically and plot progression wise. In Shiv's place, I would have have just left her with her "best friend" as her arguments for having that stance is ridiculous beyond belief, and not really worth the headache.

I always felt they wanted to show Shiv as a -ve character; they had to change the decision to make the show work, and hence ended up doing a complete 180 degree on his character and got left with huge, illogical plot holes, as there is no other logical way to explain why he was shown as such a menacing presence when all he wanted to do was remind Sharanya about his existence, and their lovely relationship.
I mean they had shown plants dying, Nawab getting scared and all in his presence!!! How is it possible to show such a malevolence spirit become so benevolent when the core motivation hasn't changed?

I really liked Namik in EDKV, and wanted to see some desi romantic show, so EDT became the solution to my problem.
I stuck to this as I found Namik better than my expectations here (especially in the romantic scenes), some traits of Sharanya's character very enjoyable, Vikram's acting and some Shiv-Sharanya flashbacks are fun to watch (though most of the time, they are just fillers, especially nowadays, and do nothing to:
1. Give new information
2. Help in plot progression)

Nowadays I switch on the TV when the show comes, read a book a book while it is airing, look up and pay attention to the show only when Namik comes on screen, otherwise the channel can pull the plug on this show as far as I am concerned.
