UPDATE 14FEB-RAM KILLS TARAKA RAKSHASHI

Part1

Mithila

Its Mithila again. Sita is singing in front of Lord Vishnu with devotion and love. Her music attracts everyone of her family to the puja room. Sita finishes her song and then takes the pradeep to everyone. First to Rajguru, then to her Preants, the to her uncle and aunt and finally to her sisters.

Rajguru then says, Maharaj janak ahs received the divine permission to convene Sita's swayambar. Now that god's are satisfied, he can declare about sita's swayambar. SIta is thrilled and she blushes. Her sisters giggle. SIta takes the pradeep back to its place and invites lord Vishnu, she tells him, before anyone is invited, she is inviting him to be present at her swayambar😊

Her lord Vishnu[😉] , along with his brother Laxman in the meantime is walking along with maharishi Viswamitra contentedly.

They reach a river side. Here maharishi declares he will endow Ram and Laxman with two speacila powers-Bala and atibala. Since they will be fighting rakshasha's now, they will be needing it.

(though as far as my knowledge is concerned, only Ram received this power😕)

BY virtue of Bala and atibala, They will not feel pain, heat, thirst , hunger, sleep; they will always remain happy, peaceful and fresh. The beauty of their body and mind will remain Intact. These powers will encircle them and Rakshasha's can never touch them, awake or resting.

So he bumps the ground, and fresh water springs out. After performing achaman and instructing Rama and Laxman to do the same, rishi Viswamitra teaches them Bala and atibala. The powers come down and enter Ram and laxman's body like a ray of light.

This was by far the most amazing episode ever!
I loved the scene with Sita praying to Lord Vishnu. The bhajan was lovely, and Debina Bonnerjee makes a good Sita. Humble, gentle, graceful, yet self-assured and powerful. i agree, though sometimes i thinkshe must act a little aggressive too, sita was a powerful woman

Vishwamitra giving Ram and Lakshman the knowledge of Bala and Atibala is an important scene. However I did think that the concept of these vidyas being personified as devis and entering the hearts was stale. They could have portrayed it in a less corny manner. yuppy

The scene in Ayodyha was nice. The queens have new clothes and jewellry! But it slowed down the pace of the episode. I feel the Ayodhya scene could have been sacrificed. yes, it seems it is being done intentionally


I'm only disappointed 😭 that the scrpit lacked substance. They could have spent more time on Tadaka's story - telling us about her past (they could have cut out the Ayodhya scene and told us more about Tadaka). Tadaka just seems like a random Rakshasi that Ram killed , but in reality there's much more to the story than fancy special effects. infact taraka was soemone significant politically, she was a sole woman ruler at that time and her life story had a deep impact, may be they will show it when they will flip to the ravan side of story
