Rani Mukerji is busy promoting her film Hichki. In the film, she plays the role of a teacher who suffers from Tourette syndrome. This is her comeback film after Adira Chopra was born. She was last seen in the film Mardaani (2015).

About the same, the Mardaani actor said that a lot of people who can't act are talking about pay disparity.
Rani Mukerji told a leading tabloid, "That's not what drove me to work. I worked to be happy. My parents took care of my finances."
She further added, "Nowadays, a lot of people who don't know how to act are also talking of pay parity. It's important to hone your skills and become good at what you do, money will follow. Actors make money from endorsements or cutting ribbons. Money can come from anywhere."
