Ishita walk slowly towards raman and amma made her sit next to raman. She look at Raman, he was already looking at her. Both shared a brief eyelock and then a smile.
Pandit ji told them to look forward and both nodded smiling. Both folded their hands and start taking nuptial vows while raman went back in the past remembering how they come closer and he finally fell for his best friend, ishita.
Flashback
Ishita and raman were best of buddies since they were in class nine. They use to share everything with each other, ishita use to come first while Raman always use to come second. Slowly time passed and both passed their twelve with flying colours.
Soon both joined BBA together, they use to go college together and come back together. In college also they use to spend all their time together. Everyone in the college use to think that they r couple, much in love couple, with the way they r comfortable with each other, the way they care for each other.
Few years passed with a blink of eyes and Ishra got settled in their respective careers, both got job in same MNC and soon both promoted as CEOs. Everything was going smoothly, ishra were just too happy with their friendship and life whej one day their parents called them.
They went to their parents all confused thinking why they r calling them only to get to know that their parents have fixed their marriage.
Ishra look at each other shocked and then said looking at their parents -shaadi?? Woh bhi isse, aap log pagal toh nahi ho gaye hai??they asked in shocked voice making their parents shocked too.
Toshiji -iska kya matlab hai ??
Raman -matlab, Matlab yeh that we don't want to get married. Aapse kisne kaha ki hum dono Ek dusre se shaadi karna chahte hai.
Madhu -matlab u two don't love each other.
Ishra look at each other and said in unison -nahi.hum Ek dusre se pyaar nahi karte .aur naa hi Ek dusre se shaadi karna chahte hai.
Mr bhalla -then why u two always spend time together.
Ishra -kyunki hum friends hai.
Appa -matlab tum dono ko shaadi nahi karni hai??
Ishra -nahi.
Toshiji -toh tum dono kisse shaadi karoge??
Ishita -kisi se bhi. Naa raman.
Raman nodded in yes.
Madhu -matlab tum dono ko koi problem nahi if we choose spouse for u two.
Ishra -ofcourse not, humne kabhi aap logon ko mana kiya hai. They said making their parents happy. They decided to choose a south Indian boy for ishita while a Punjabi girl for Raman.
Days start passing, ishra were spending their time together like always while their parents where busy in searching spouse for them and finally they found suitable match for Ishra. Raman's marriage got fixed with a Punjabi girl shipra, while ishita's marriahe got fixed with a south Indian guy, gautam.
Their roka ceremony got done while engagement date was fixed after a fortnight. Ishita start spending time with gautam as they were shopping for their engagement and raman start spending much time with shipra. At first they were OK with it but slowly as the time start passing, they start missing each other, each other's care, comfortable hugs, long convos, his forehead kisses, they use to miss each other badly. Even their partners start interfering in between their relationship making Ishra irked to no end. Gautam don't like ishita talking to raman in place of him and the same happens with shipra. She don't like raman caring more for ishita then her. He ran to ishita even if she just sneeze making shipra angry. Both the couples start having difference in opinions. Ishra were not understanding where they r lacking and soon the day of their engagement came.
Ishra got dressed in peach colour lehenga and sherwani. They walked into the venue hand in hand making gautam and shipra angry. But they remained calm to avoid unnecessary drama. Soon toshiji took raman to shipra and amma took ishita to gautam. Both the couples stand side by side and their engagement got announced.
Ishra were looking at each other smiling when shipra said -now stop looking at her, ab tumhe zindagi bhar mujhe hi dekhna hai. She said making ishita face fall.
While gautam said -ab raman ka saath chod do, ab main hi tumhara humsafar hoon. Listening to this Raman's face too fall. They were not understanding what they were feeling but both start feeling empty with the mere thought of going away from each other. Seeing them lost, their mothers helped them in slipping rings into their partner's hand and soon the engagement got over. All clapped for them while Ishra were lost.
Soon couples were called for dance. Raman was about to hold Ishita's hand when gautam room her, shipra hold Raman's hand and all start dancing. Gautam and shipra were dancing happily while ishra were looking at each other trying to understand their feelings. Raman was getting angry seeing Gautam's hand on her waist while ishita was looking at shipra who was resting her head on Raman's chest.
Ishita look at shipra and couldnt bear it. She released her hand from Gautam's and went to raman and shipra. She pulled shipra apart from Raman in anger and went out of the hall angrily. All were shocked with Ishita's behaviour, amma-appa apologised for ishita's behaviour and were going behind her when Raman stopped all and said -let me check.
All nodded while Raman went out, he saw ishita sitting in the bench and crying trying to take out her ring. Raman walked to her and asked -what happened ishita??
Ishita looked at him and got angry seeing him so calm. She nodded in no and said -kuch nahi, u go from here.
Raman didn't said anything and just hug her tight. She start crying keeping her head on his chest.
Ishita -its my place Raman, it's my place. Noone is allowed to keep her head here, it's my place.
Raman caressed her hair and said -ofcourse, it's ur place, Noone is allowed to keep her head here. And no-one is allowed to touch u except me.he said wrapping her tight in his arms.
Ishita look at him and asked -u r also not liking it??
Raman nodded in no.
Ishita -toh kuch kiya kyun nahi stupid.
Raman -i was thinking to do something but u did it first.
Ishita -tu hamesha se late latif hai.
Raman smiled and said -second aane ki aadat joh hai. He said and both smiled.
Ishita -hum shaadi nahi karenge ,OK.
Raman -correction, hum unse shaadi nahi karenge, we will marry each other. Mujhse shaadi karegi.
Ishita nodded and he pecked her temple softly.
Everyone came out to see what is happening and gautam -shipra got angry seeing their fiance with others. Both went to confront ishra but they gave their ring back and said -sorry for the inconvenience but hum Aap dono se shaadi nahi kar sakte, as we love each other and can't live without each other.
Gautam's father -yeh kya bakwaas chal raha hai yahan iyer sahab, yahin sanskaar diye hai aapne apni beti ko.
Raman -uncle, yahan sanskaar ki baat nahi hai, pyaar ki baat hai. We love each other, hum naa kisi aur ko khush rakh sakte hai aur naa hi kisi aur ke saath khush reh sakte hai. We love each other, he said while ishita too nodded in yes.
Gautam and shipra's parents start badmouthing about Ishra. Both looked at their parents and they handled the situation.
It took few days to get the things back to normal as their parents were also angry with Ishra stupidity but finally all sorted.ishra got engaged and their marriage got fixed in a week. And today finally both were taking nuptial vows together.
