And white wedding means the same for me...but not in the context of that sentence...
At least for me.

I have never seen Indian or Pakistani or Afghan Muslims wear a white wedding dress. it's green, maroon or plums and reds and all. Only Uzbekis and Turks and maybe some other country Muslims wear white. Are you from those countries?

As an Afghan Muslim, I know that Afghans wear white dress. Actually, Afghan brides wear two dresses during their wedding day. They usually do the Nikkah in green dress and change to the white dress for the second part. But yeah, the white dress is very important of the wedding which we call for the actual wedding dress.

As for other Muslim countries, Arabs, Turks, Balkan people etc, all wear white dress and do the Nikkah in it as well. Afghans are the only ones who differs at that part as far as I know. Actually, I also know that Pakistanis usually wear white during the Nikkah.

Ditto on the Afghan comment. We mostly wear Green or at times Traditional Afghan clothes at the Nikkah ceremony. However at the wedding reception the bride always wear white.

I am North African Arab and brides wear traditional outfits as well as a white dress. But our traditional outfits are the most important.

I wanted to write Bangladesh somehow wrote Afghan. Yes Afghans wear white but Pakistanis don't traditionally esp those who migrated from India. Those who do wear white in Pakistan have Afghan ancestry. And anyway Afghans really took over that country so even Balochi and Sindhi culture is eroded.
Nowadays people wear whatever.
