Okay i have not watched a lot of historic shows but i have read that most kings in earlier times used to have so many wives. Now this is related to our show as even bamni has two wives now and alexander will have three wives.Even philips is shown to have so many wives. And i have seen only once that a princess was married to more than one guy and that was mahabharat...and draupdi faced a lot for that even when it was not her wish to marry five men...it happened because of kunti words...draupdi just wanted to marry arjun. And in another scenario...kings keeps on getting married and nobody says a word. I mean look at bamni when he intriduced kadika to anusuya...so casually he told hamari patni as if its not gonna bother anusuya. And i liked anusuya got shocked at that in one episode but in the second episode...when scene was completed...she was smiling at kadika. Its even more shocking that those so many wives can be good to each other...were each other friends. I mean was the emotional called " wanting loyality" dint existed then...i loved when i saw bajirao mastani that kashibai dint took it nicely and asked bajirao to leave her room forever...yes she wasnt expecting that. And i can understand that bamni got married after he thought anusuya died...but now when anusuya returned...shouldnt she think of separation. I mean common your husband is now married to someone else...i feel and think that loyality is all what a women wants in husband. So i dont get how queens having self respect like anusuya ( okay if we consider, this char is fictional...then even jodha were under same circumstances) ...let a husband have more wives...will a bamni or akbar ever accept that their wifes have more husbands ?

Well honestly speaking the CVS have shown anusuya this mahan for the show, Bcz there is no clues in history about this.
Every woman or saying every wife was like kadika, who had no influence on her husband and children. And in the show the queens are at least facing society, as much as I have known they were not allowed to speak such freely to anyone, even they used to meet the members of royal society and court by remaining behind curtains.
The sole reason was that it was male dominating society where men were no less than god for women. The society was highly male superior where wives used to do sati and jauhar, so women conducting multiple marriages was a long gone story for them.
Even when Philip came to know Cleopatra was going to give birth to daughter, he was ready to accept Alexander, so we conclude the situation .
During the era of Vijayanagar and mainly moguls, we can see this system demolishing a bit, as we can see Jahangir's wife had two marriage and had more influence on the kingdom and court than him.
Cleopatra ,razia sultana ruled as strongest rulers .
Well talking about draupadi due to her daredevil personality which is that of anusuya, made her a legend and example .
Well the main cause was the thought, Bcz sita never objected ram whether it was agnipariksha or when he abandoned her.

So the women and both society had that mindset that women were only confined to house work. So we can say...

In ancient times women condition was very bad...even though women condition in Greece and Egypt was much better they were still considered as lower than men...men had all the power...but there were few strong women who rose and challenged men power such a Olympia of Albania also known as Alexander the greats mother , Tomirus, Baudica, cleopatra..

This show is utter nonsense...Poras son was older than Alexander and was killed in the battle of hydespas also known as jhelum...Philip was great warrior not just a drunkard ...also Darius was king of the world as Persia was the greatest power at that time...and he is shown as sadakchap lukha...battle of Gugemela between Alexander and Darius is regarded as the greatest battle of all times...

I think people make a very big deal about Polygamy. Yes Polygamy is not right but wife abandonment is not right either. Both Anusuya and Kadika are his wives and they both deserve to live in Palace as Queens.

It was not big issue that time ,it was d easiest way of settlement b/w 2 kingdoms, 2 strengthen kingdoms, without bloodshed, this come under politics as mostly marriage were political ,
In Bajirao Mastani film , Bajirao never legally married Mastani but he accepted her, it was like a betrayal 2 kashibai as she was proud that Bajirao never married again after her, even novel on mastani states that bajirao promised kashibai that he will not marry again but he did married mastani legally.

Bamini dint betrayed anusuya , she Was presumably dead when bamini married kadika, bamini never took ek patnivrath like lord ram , so it is not a big issue. Even king poras 2 would have many wives

Draupadi was not a ordinary lady , she was a combination of many goddess , as pandavs 2 were dev putras. As lord krishna had 16000 wives.

Queens 2 never objected in that era coz it was a regular practice .

Even alexander bounded takshika & pouravs by wedding poras's daughter 2 ambhiraj as per some articles.

It was like this at that time. Kings used to keep more than one queen. May be it was a matter of pride for them or a way to spread their kingdom.
And i think anusuya knows this and understands it.

We are so lucky to be born and brought up in today's times.. 😆

Well ab shaadi ki hai toh introduce toh karna padega.. He can't have guilt or shame while introducing her, otherwise it would have been injustice to Kadika.. But I feel he was aware of Anusuya's feelings.. He was not oblivious like he usually is nor was he insensitive...He was looking at her with some dilemma...

Also, I don't think Anusuya will consider leaving Bamini as her priority is and has always been "Akhand Bharat". If we see when Bamini sent her to servant's quator or jail or whatever that place was, she agreed to stay there, that was primarily not for Bamini or any other reasons, but for the nation's unity. So here when Daraius is prying upon India and she knows it, I believe that she would keep all other affairs aside. That's within her character. Moreover, Anusuya does not think much about self respect when it comes to Bamini...She felt bad about it and that was evident from her face. The smile that she gave to Kadika was quite formal. Ab aage jaake yeh dono pakki saheliyan ho jayen toh main kuch keh nahi sakti...😆

I think it would have been a nice scene where Bamini would have gone to Anusuya in private and talked about her emotions regarding kadika and made her feel secure, but as we all know they will never elaborate interaction between Anusuya and Bamini.. 😆

Us time ki hum log kya baat karen.. Even in today's times if we talk about our TV shows, they still don't make men give any explanation to their wives for any of their actions.. It happens rarely and when it does, I watch the scene with my eyes open wide.. Arrey aisa bhi hua.. 😆

PS : I liked that scene between Anusuya and bamini.. Yeh log Kadika ka angle thodi der mein laa sakte the.. 😈

First of all ...this post is not about why bamni married again...its more about why kings at that time had so many wives ...and wives used to be friends...those all were princesses yaar...i wanted to know why dint they expected loyality from their husbands which for me is one of the most important thing for a girl in marriage. How can they easily accept that their husband will be shared. As a today's girl...i would like to leave a person if he cant be loyal to me...i wanted to ask that if this emotion dint existed back then ?...and its not about bamni here...philips is also shown to have so many wives in show and even alexander will have three wives and what reasons they have if i agree atleast bamni thought anu died...and i am not saying bamni did wrong by marrying kadika or something...though i as a human do feel that if the one you love just died...a person doesnt immediately marries someone else...but this is a show and bamni beloved dint died, someone who he thought betrayed him died...and he did for his whatsoever reason like having a heir. But this is definitely not the point of concern here...i dint liked how anusuya wasnt shown much troubled by it...i wanted her to feel it...that feeling that your husband is married to someone else. That wasnt shown properly...
