Forgotten Movie Name- HELP

The movie is about a girl and guy auditioning for a singing competition. He recognizes her shoes and eventually meets her. They are on the same team and practice for a competition. They end up winning and falling in love. They decide to get marries and around the time of her wedding day her dad passes away. Since he is the only one that can raise her little brother and sister she decides NOT to get married and raise her little brother and sister. She starts a music school in her house and raises them. In the meantime the guy keeps in touch and helps out here and there. He goes on to become a good singer and even on TV. He sings about her and waiting for her and they even show an empty mic on stage next to him. She even buys a cassette of his when he becomes famous. Time flies and it's time for her little bro and sis to get married. Her sister marries one of her students she taught classical music to and moves overseas. Her brother marries a bitchy girl who turns on her and tries to sell the house or kick her out. Eventually it gets sorted out and the guy she's always loved has waited for her and asks her to finally marry him and she does. The end scene is him coming again like he did last time on a horse to marry her, but this time they are a lot older.

Anyone know what movie I am talking about? The actor looks a little like Shakti Kapoor with his hair. The actors aren't super famous. HELP!
