Good episode today. I miss the old gang - yes, all of them! Specifically, I miss DD and Ali. I love my boys! I hope we see them some time soon.
When Neilanjana was confronted by the goons, I kept hoping and praying that she'd fight back. But she didn't - and somewhere, my heart broke for her. I miss the old Avni - who would never bow down in front of circumstances. That being said, being Neilanjana is necessary for Avni. Avni's right - we make our own identities and shouldn't depend on others for the validity of our existence. I still wish she hadn't taken such a drastic step - but I can see how it is instrumental for her growth as a person. I am excited to see how Avni's old fire mixes with her new calmness to create a person that is entirely her.
Neil, on the other hand, is broken too. Everything he does is for the happiness of others because he isn't happy and will probably never be. I am dreading the day he meets Avni and realizes she is alive. His anger, his grief... aaah, I almost can't bear it. I love Neil's new look. Earlier, it was starchy clothes and stiff waistcoats - signalling his rigidity in terms of his morals. But the new look - denims, plaid and so on signal a different kind of ruggedness that has been tempered in the fires of grief and loss.
Loving the clean, colorful visuals of the story. The cinematography is bomb. I also love the editing styles - simple and clean - no unnecessary sound effects or music.
This KK guy seems so irritating. If the CVs think he is an acceptable replacement for DD, they have another thing coming. I heard that the new story will focus on a love triangle. I hope not. Love triangles are a bit cliche and boring, in my opinion - and this KK doesn't deserve any screen space. He's so... useless.
Speaking of irritating - Saisha a.k.a Mishti - her character is a little poorly written, in my opinion. It's like someone picked out all the cliche things a 15 year old girl would do and incorporated them in her character. No! But I am not writing her off yet - there seems potential for something deeper and stronger in her. I'm surprised she doesn't remember Neil or anything. She was around 5-6 and at that age, it's true we don't remember a whole lot but we remember the people who had a deep impact in our lives - like her superman did.
I love that Sunehri, Tara and Sitara are present in the show. Those girls are so lovely and tbh Avni (I refuse to call her Neelanjana unless necessary) needs some girlfriends in her life.
The precap blew my brains out. Will they see each other? I have a suspicion they don't actually meet or see each other, but I am hoping they do so that the story can progress!
