If it was discussed then ignore. :)

Actor Manoj Kumar recently said that he likes Ranveer and he has acted with Ranveer Singh's grandmother Chand Burke.

Chand Burke was a leading actress in Pakistan known as 'Dancing Lili of Punjab'. She married the director of her first movie. She moved to Bombay (now Mumbai) after partition. She didn't get lead roles in Mumbai. She auditioned for supporting roles and did Boot Polish with Raj Kapoor and some more supporting characters. She got divorce in 1954 and married Sunder Singh Bhavnani (Sonam's grandmother's brother).

TBH someone who had to audition for supporting roles probably has no clout in the industry. This is the same Bollywood that forgets top actors when they are old. So who Chand Burke?

Ranveer was most probably recommended by someone prominent because his family moved in the same movie circle. He's an outsider in that sense. Adi Chopra picked him because he aced the auditions. We can criticize all we want but superstars are made by the public. Ranveer is on the right path,

That applies to all then. Including Insiders. Nobody can make the Public accept anybody forcefully.

Atleast people came to know about an actress named Chand Burke thanks to being related to Ranveer. Perks of being an insider.

He's from a filmi family, not a star kid
But definitely not a poor outsider :'(

Any outsider crashing BW partied to get noticed would get noticed by Mumbai police lol
