There was a thread on films which had great trailer..and the film disappointed.

This is a very good example.The trailer ,the promos..and one of my all time Rahman soundtrack.

I think it was the climax that let down the film..

Exactly, ROM didn't go all out for the climax and it showed. It's a pity because it could have been a great patchwork movie. The characters were really interesting and the movie was mostly good. It was still a huge letdown post Rang De Basanti...

Love this movie and I really can't understand why it didn't do well especially when remember the crap movies that used to be hit at that time.

Climax was bad but I feel, audience wasn't ready for this type of content driven movie : I feel like it would have done better if it released currently ...

The way it flopped was indeed surprising for me as ROM was just out of Rang De Basanti. The movie was nice but the climax was rushed and too "easy".

Abhishek was supposed to die but ROM finally decided against it. It's a pity as it didn't work anyways.

It's like Rangoon, the directors are great but compromise for BO purpose and thus end up with a movie which doesn't "respect" their vision and which didn't do anything for them commercially.

It might indeed have done better had it released now. Alas, those were the times where half-assed movies with mediocre acting could fare well. I'm glad Sonam's movie's in which she had flowerpot roles didn't work out. At least she didn't end up taking that route.

Great song indeed, the album was great. I listened to it again and again. The fact that Sonam is bright, energetic and beautiful in the video clip doesn't hurt either.
