Well, from spiritual POV we can say God sees the truth but waits. He did save Rahul and Gauri. Rahul survived multiple attacks while Gauri too came out of that temple unharmed.

If KB had stopped all this the first day itself, the villagers would have never learnt their lesson and eventually someone else would do the same to them. They should learn to choose their leaders wisely. Why should the temple be run by Thakur family alone ? People like Thakur use temple politics to maintain their status quo in the society. He is responsible for all these murders because he didn't allow police investigation to happen.

Hinduism is about search for truth. The villagers were never taught of this. Gauri got special powers and KB wants her to take the shivling. Probably the eighth shivling is the most important one given how it was hidden behind the KB idol unlike the rest of them. Without Rahul's explosion even Namrata would have never guessed about it.

Namrta deserves much more than just legal punishment. From divine punishment POV also she needs to have a few sleepless nights. So, here is one Gauri who can see the future and she also knows about the Shivlings and the eighth shivlng is missing yet again. And then she has got a week's time or her financer will murder her.
