I've woken up to Neil becoming an RJ, who drinks from a cup that has his wife's initial, and who wears her mangalsutra as a bracelet so she's always with him. This makes me very hopeful that despite rumours of mitali bein a love interest of Neil's- that it won't happen! Neil is fully committed and totally madly in love with Avni! Still, despite the amount of years that's gone by ( be it 5 or 10).
I've seen the episode today and I've been reading the posts on this forum and I've been active on Twitter. Twitter fans have done a complete 180 and super positive about the upcoming track! (And so am I!). On the forum, however, it's the reverse!
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and I won't get into discussions with people but I've been seeing a lot of negativity about Avni and her actions!
I don't know how I feel about her leaving Neil for so long- I know that I'm heartbroken about my favorite leads being apart. Period. The timeline doesn't matter to much to me. Being apart is being apart be it for 6 months, 5 years or 10 years! It's heartbreaking! I hate seeing them broken like this. Was her leaving important for our show? Yes! It is. The story has been negative ( Juhi/ the pandits/ Neela Ma)... and to get viewers back on board, they need to show them what they've loved in the last. Neil and Avni's journey to being a couple!
You can't give a journey ( like meeting/tashan/intensity/angst/romance) without a seperation at this point. I'm grateful that the CVs are not going the cliched route with the seperation! Neil could have gone the angry young man way, and been a hard ass police officer, but instead they've changed his character to be a rugged/broken cowboy, who seeks thrills only to see/feel his wife ( Hello Twillight! Lol!).
Avni, we don't have much information on except that she helps run an orphanage. Her characterization to
Me, again is very different and not cliched! She's not the angry young woman she was anymore. In fact with the new look, to me, she appears to be a meek girl who's turned into a shell and who hides her emotions! Sometimes the way to deal with a heartbreak is to be void of any emotions.
There's so much potential with this new track: what happened to Ali, now that he no longer runs Chamko Cafe? How does Neil bring Avni out of the shell she's in? How does he react when he sees her? And vice versa? How do the supporting characters play into this? Where's DD- is he finally an inspector now? He's finally out of Neil's shadow in the force??
Lots of questions left to be answered and lots of emotions to play out.
Going back to the episode of today. Avni was not heartless!
She was tough. She put a rock on her heart and did what she thought was right for her man! Was she right to make a decision for the both of them? I can answer that with another question: was Neil justified for putting avni in jail for 6 months?!
Today, Avni did her own shraad. And it doesn't mean that she doesn't love Neil
Or the Khannas.
It was symbolic to say that Avni Ayesha is dead because what is she without her suhagan attire? Dead. What is she without neil? Dead!
A widower doesn't burn her bangles- she breaks them! Avni wiped her sindoor in today's episode, but if you look closely, her sindoor was still there!
Avni is not a widower. She's just dead. Avni Ayesha is dead! I feel like this is a new step for Avni because from here on, as she promised Neil- she will follow his code of ethics.
This new track is the journey of Avni Khanna!
