When, I first started watching I thought it wouldv'e been like The Breakfast Club. Meaning, there are quite a few characters and they are all different. However, this movie was brilliant.
The storyline is about 6 teenagers [grade 12 or 11 I'm guessing]. At first, it seems like it'll be about stereotypes.. but it shows you how people of a certain stereotype are anything but that.
It begins off with the teachers opening a door and being startled. It's highly hinted that it's suicide. Then, the movie says 'Earlier that day' or something. It takes you through each of those character's days. And how, they are all connected and part of one another's life. Pretty much the point of the movie, is too see who will commit suicide. All of those characters have problems and you wonder throughout the movie, who will escalate to suicide.
The movie has a graphic suicide scene at the end. [That's not a spoiler]. So, just be prepared. It's rated 18. And, I'm fourteen. I like watching movies which deal with real issues. Also, there is a a rape scene. << Spoiler I guess. Also, a lot of cursing but I didn't mind that.
It's an independent Aussie film. Meaning, it was quite low-budget and doesn't have huge movie stars. But, that's what makes it more compelling. '2:37' is one of best movies I've seen in a while.
