Pad Man had a drop on day eight as it collected 2 crore nett and took its eight day to around 64 crore nett. The film is probably going to close around the 80 crore nett mark which is a fair total for a film on this subject but the industry was expected more due to the huge success of Toilet Ek Prem Katha.

The business of Pad Man has mainly come due to the presence of Akshay Kumar and the difference between Pad Man and Toilet Ek Prem Katha is the latter was more mass appealing with good humour and was generally a louder film while Pad Man was more subtle.

The film had to go above 3 crore nett on the second Friday to emerge a solid hit but fell well short and this was also the film which got hurt most by the opening of Black Panther which took over the centres (metros) where Pad Man was its best business.

that was very much on card as it couldne collect more than 13 cr on the opening day and they didnt have any holiday falling in the week which could boost up the collection.

Its opening was very much similar to that of BABY and GIB and so will be its final numbers

Average. Indian distribution right sold to Sony at Rs. 42 crore. Movie will recover cost if it makes 84 cr.

Sony paid total Rs. 55cr (42cr for Indian distribution right and 13 cr for overseas). It has to make approx. 32-34cr (Gross) overseas to recover cost. I think it's gonna flop overseas.

Is that why there are rumors of him doing Dhoom 4 going on? I read on Twitter.. Though I wonder what the topic of DHoom would be then? A girl wanting to ride a bike but failing to do so and then Akki taking the bera of building a bike for her against the society which is comfortable for her to ride?

This is hilarious. Dhoom getting a social message twist. Maybe they will make it patriotic with the girl winning an international competition with Make in India bike. Then whole government machinery will be out promoting it.

Since Akki would not have enough money to buy the stuff required to make the bike, he will have to steal it, though for a good cause.. He will of course return the money in the end when the girl wins the competition.. Meanwhile Abhi and Uday will try to nab him from stealing and will ultimately fail cuz you know, country comes first
