"C'mon gauri! Let's dance! Ridhimma Gauri's childhood friend yells from the dance floor, loud music blasting.
Gauri pushes a strand of her hair behind her ear and smiles at her sadly.
"Sorry Ridz, I am just not in mood,
Ridhimma frowns and and walks up to her friend, takes a seat beside her and orders for two drinks.
"Hey sweety..what happened? She asks, placing her hand on Gauri's.
"Nothing..just feeling a little out of the weather..you go dance, it's your bachelorette party after all, Gauri smiles at her friend, trying to hide her inner feelings.
She has always been good at this, hiding her feelings.
Or maybe nobody ever tried to see beneath her facial smile.
"Ok darling but if you feel uncomfortable than you can go home. I don't want my best friend to get sick before my wedding k? Ridhimma smirks at Gauri then picks up her shot and gulps it in one go. Gauri smiles at her before she goes back to the dance floor, moving her hips widely at the loud music.
"Hey here is your drink, A husky voice comes from behind.
Gauri whips her head to see a bartender of her own age with sparking eyes and unusually long hair smiling at her.
"Thanks.. she takes her shot.
"It's very unlikely too see a girl here in this club in a saree you know? But you look really pretty, he says, arranging the vodka bottles on table.
"Hey Ajay look! How is this saree looking on me?Gauri asks cheerfully.
Gauri What nonsense is this? Can't you see I am working!? Now get lost and let me do my work! Her husband barks, missing to see to tears dwelling in Gauri's eyes..
Not as if he would care.
Gauri blushes.
"Thanks..
"You are obviously here for your friend's bachelorette party, so why are you not dancing? Not the dancing type, eh? He asks with a little chuckle.
Gauri takes a deep breath before walking into his husband's room.
Today is the finals of my dance competition..it would make me really happy if you come to the dance academy
Just for half an hour! She adds quickly.
Not possible today gauri..I have a very urgent meeting. I might even not come home today. Uh..Best of luck, He says before moving out of the room.

She hears him say to the phone as he moves out, before collapsing on the floor with swollen eyes.
"You can say.. she breaths, forcing a smile.
The bartender grins.
"I am not a great dancer myself. My brothers say I look like a monkey on steroids while dancing, He jokes.
Gauri chuckles. A real genuine laugh.
After such a long time that it almost felt strange to her.
"By the way, Gauri right? I am sorry but I could help but over hear your conversation, He says sheepishly.

"I am Omkara by the way,
She smiles at him.
"One more drink?
She nods almost immediately.
"Am I am not flirting or anything but you are the prettiest girl in the club tonight. Your husband must be envied by many, Om smirks.
"How do you-"
"The big rock on your finger..hard not to notice. He replies with a wink.
"You notice too much you know? Gauri asks with a teasing smile of her own on her cherry lips.
The vodka.
She already felt tipsy.
"Well, I am an artist by hobby. Just can't miss the beauty around myself, he says playfully, making the both chuckle at the end.
"Wow, you sure are really cheesy,she remarks.
"You call that cheesy? Ok so listen- are you a camera?Because I smile every time I look at you,he winks again making Gauri burst in laughter.
"Wait here one more- I don't have a library card, but do you mind if I check you out, Om wriggle his eyebrows at the end and Gauri almost falls of the chair laughing.
"Gosh! These lines are terrible!
"But works all the time,
"You must have lots of girlfriends then,
Gauri smirks.
"Now that the funny part- I have none, he says filling shots with vodka.
"What!! That's not possible! You are cute, funny and all! She says with horror on her face.
Om chuckles looking at her cute expressions.
"Sometimes it's not enough..
"But you tell me, did you have lots of boyfriend before you found you lucky guy? If not boyfriend then I am sure you much have lots of lover boys following you around like lost puppies..You husband must be very possessive of you, he winks.
Her marriage was falling apart. Slipping from her hand like sand and she hand no idea how to fix it. How can you even fix what's never broken?
But Gauri was stubborn. She was ready to go to any limit to make this marriage work.
How are you today honey? Are you tired? Gauri asks running her fingers across her husband's shoulders as she looks at him seductively.
Gauri What are you doing? Serve me the food, I am hungry.. " Ajay says removing her hands and takes off his coat.
But Gauri wraps her arms around her neck and presses herself against his body.
Ajay Baby..Look at me..I know you have lots of work load.. she turns him around.
Stop doing this to me. I know you love me. She says as she moves her hands around his neck.
Don't forget your limits! You are dear to no one! He spit like venom and throws her to the near by couch.

He storms out of the house again, like ever other night, leaving behind his wife to spend the night shedding tears and cursing her fate.
"He is.. she replies drily.
"Um..did I say something wrong? You seem sad, is everything alright?
"You should not worry too much about your customers.Gauri winks, gulping another drink.
Om's worried looks melt into a small frown.
"I though we were friends..
"Umm friends? Sounds good to me! I guess we are friends now! Gauri and Omkara, She says as she giggles too much.
Already wasted.
"You look drunk, I think I should call your friends. You should go home now Gauri,
"No! I am not drunk! Now pour me some more vodka! Or-Or I start dancing on this table! She threatens trying to put her scariest face.
"Totally wasted, Om mutters under his breath.
"C'mon I am calling your friends, Om says as he moves but Gauri grabs his hand.
"Nooo! Please Om! I don't wanna go to home! I don't want to go back to Ajay!! Please! She whines again, pouting like a sad kid.
"Is Ajay your husband?
She nods sadly, still holding his hand tightly.
"Why- I am if you don't mind me asking..what's wrong Gauri?
Gauri sighs loudly..
"I want to drink Om..I want drink and drink and drink and drink.. she chants like a kid.
"I am calling your friends, just stay here alright?
She nods, playing with glasses.
Om tries to find her friends but it seemed as if they all left the club abruptly. He asks the guard who tells him that they had some emergency. The broom to be met with some accident.
When Om come backs to Gauri he sees a man trying to take her to the dance floor.
He quickly walks to him and snatched Gauri out of his hands.
"Back off dude!
Assuming that Om was her boyfriend or husband the man moves away almost quickly.
"Hey Om!! You are back!She giggles, relaxing into his arms.
"C'mon I am dropping you home.. he takes Gauri hand and moves out of the club.
"Can you tell me you address? He asks as he starts the ignition of the car.
"Address??? Yeahhh!! Let's go to another club and party!!! She says as she starts dancing on her seat, throwing her hands up in the air.
"No Gauri.. the address of your home,
"H-Home? She hiccups.
"Yes,

An hour later..
"Are you sure it's another right?
"Yeah! Sure it's left! Left! She says pointing towards right.
Om sighs.
"We are moving in circles from past one hour..I don't think you are in condition to tell me anything. I guess I'll have to take you to my home now.. he says looking at her helplessly.
"Yourr houseee??? WOW! She cheers with joy.
During the drive to his house Gauri kept staring at him, nonstop.
"It's getting creepy you know? The staring?
"You are really cute you know? She says as a matter of fact making his breath hitch.
"I wish everyyy guy in the planet was like you! Cute and sweet!! I wish..Ajay was like you, she says, her voice loosing its excitement at the end.
Om turns his head to her.
"Gauri..Are you Ok?
She pouts.
"Om, your face, she says, her face plastered with horror..and she leans closer.
Om stops his car.
"What?
She keeps leaning and leaning until her lips were just millimetres away from his.
His heart stops.
"Is your face McDonald's? Cuz I am loving it! She say bursting into laughs.
"See, not just you are cheesy!
Om frown loudly.
"You are impossible,
"And you are cute!
Om realises how close they still were to each other. He cold feel her hot breath over him. She stops laughing.
And before both of them knew their lips were on each other's.
Gauri quickly wrapped her fingers around his long locks pulling him closer to his body.
Omkara wrapped his hands around her neck, kissing her harder. A strange sensation took over his body. Almost as if he leaves her now, he would just die.
But then he felt her engagement ring and realisation hits him hard.
He pushes her away almost quickly.
"No, this is not right. Y-you are drunk and married he breaths.
"But..I liked it,
He looks into her eyes with disbelief.
"I-I have never been kissed like this before.. she admits honestly.
"But your hus-"
"I like you better,
"You are drunk,
"Hmm maybe..but you are a great kisser you know? Your lips are-"
"Stay quite please!
Whatever she was saying was rising the old feeling inside is chests. Feelings which were suppose to die long back.
Gauri pouts sadly but forgets about it soon and looks out of the window.

Om helpea Gauri to enter his apartment and switches on the lights.
It is small but nice.
"Sit on the sofa while I prepare the bed for you alright?
Gauri nods and walks to the photo hanging on the wall.
"Om! Why didn't you tell me! You were in the same batch as me in the college!
"Thought you would just guess eventually.. he smiles to himself.
"It's strange..I don't remember you.. she mummers.
"I wasn't as popular as you..
"Why didn't you ever talk to me in the college? We could have been best friends you know? She says smiling brightly.
"I wish I had the courage to talk to you.. he says with a sad smile.
"Why? Was I so scary? She rolls her eyes.
"No, you were just so beautiful. So much that whenever I was close to you I use to feel so insecure. So I use to just admire you from afar, he says with a small smile as he caresses her cheek.
He is not sure if its fortunate or unfortunate that she would remember none of this the next morning.
Gauri smiles back at him.
"I wish you had.. She says, tears edging her doe shaped eyes.
And then she feels everything blacking out and passes out of top of Om.
He picks her up in bridal style and take her to the bed.
