I think she is just talking about the nature of daily soaps... how things keep changing everyday. She doesn't know all the script yet.

AS for if they end up together... I think they do. A few days back when Preeti calls him Jeejaji, his VO said that in future he was going to form a lot of relationships with many members of Naina's family... how can he do that if his most important one with her is not formed?
