bollywood’s new: unusual jodis!

Hard to imagine dashing hunk John Abraham romancing the classic beauty Vidya Balan in a movie!

This is exactly what we are going to see in filmmaker Nikhil Advani's next multistarrer Salaam-e-Ishq, a movie about six love stories taking place simultaneously. John and Vidya will play one of the couples in the film.

Another unusual jodi in the film would be Govinda pairing with South African actress Shanon Esra.

When asked about the unusual pairings in the movie, Nikhil Advani told a website: "There is also the expected pairing of Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the film. Yes, the John-Vidya jodi is unexpected, but the two actors suit their characters well enough. Same for the Govinda pair. It is the demand of the story."

So sure was Nikhil about his starcast that after completing the script he made a rough showreel of the stars in the images they would be shown in the film. He showed the showreel to the stars before signing them.

On another front, we will get to see the coming together of American and Indian stars in New York-based filmmaker Manish Gupta's movie 'Karma Confessions and Holy'.

The movie will have Bollywood stars Randeep Hooda (who has recently been ousted from the Varma camp) and Sushmita Sen acting alongside none other than the supermodel Naomi Campbell, and actor Robert De Niro's daughter, Drena.

Now, these pairings will really be something to see.
