Reflections: the beginning of married life

I've been away for a while, following posts but not watching episodes, and I'm now all caught up!

Some reflections:
1) Abhay is a fool, but his loss is Diya's gain. All Abhay gained was revenge, but Diya gained a husband. I'd say one up to Diya 😃 !

No doubt about it😆 more than Diya's gain its Ratan's gain as he got such a life partner😉

2) Low expectations and high standards! Diya has zero expectations from Ratan. Remember she knows his views on marriage. However she does have high expectations of his regard for her. She knows he cares for her, and that's the friendship aspect.

In my opinion expectation is the real cause of any fight or misunderstanding in any relationship so as Diya has zero expectations from ratan so she wont get into argument with ratan often ...so half of the problem between this married couple is already solved😆

3) 'Now you can go wherever you want' She fully expects Ratan to run; to adventure, to clubs etc. Would she prefer it? She's shell-shocked at present.

By saying Diya has set Ratan free as she does not expect ratan to fulfill any requirements of this marriage so he is free to go anywhere ,be with anyone...live a free bird life which ratan always wanted.

4) She genuinely doesn't know how to behave with Ratan. When Ratan impatiently walked into the house, pulling her along, then tried to undo the marriage knot, she was mute before lifting the scarf from his neck. She would have scolded him before, but now she's his wife, and the old norms are gone.

5) She has a few more allies in the house now. The taunts will come, but at least she's not so alone. Still her in-laws are resigned, not genuinely welcoming. She'll have to work hard to win their trust.

At least from yesterday's episode it looks like choti thakranisa is empathizing with Diya may be because she could relate with her

She'll have many tests to come, but she's now at her sasural and she'll have to cope.

I really want to see Abhay's reaction when he will know Diya and Ratan are married. I think he will come in the reception also to know how much sad is Diya. Hope he sees Ratan and Diya very much close and burst out in anger 😃

Diya will give him full freedom, but the problem is Ratan is not bafadar at all. What if he starts making bimbo GF's 🤔 Btw I am dying to see jealous Diya.😃

I am still suspicious about KM but more about Nitya Bua Saah

Good post. I thought the removing of the knot was symbolic.

Ratan and Diya are soulmates and are connected, no matter how hard he tries he cannot undo the knot. But Diya will be the one to release him from obligations. Not untie the knot ofcourse... both cannot do that - its tied for eternity 😆

But he will suffocate without her... no adventure will be fun enough if she is not around.

I am happy that KM and the rest of the family are not negative but grey and that is very good.

I think KM and Diya are going to have a good relationship going forward. That would be good to watch. The new villain of the show is Ratan's immaturity, Diya's guilt, societal norms and the family's non acceptance of the marriage. Guilt that she agreed to this marriage and ended up ruining Ratan's life.

On another note... Diya is so accomplished. She, successful ran a hotel and made it profitable and also made sure that Ratan's life was safe. She was shown to be getting offers from around the globe after she left KM.

From the business sense and in the real world she is someone like say a Chanda Kochar or an Indira Nooyi. But in this drama world look what have the CVs have made her into 😆😆

She has become the BAHU cum Baby sitter 🤣
