From the very first episodes our pryare Datahukum clams himself to be Diya's best friend. Diya also. From Diya's point of view about friendship is understood by me, because she has done every thing for her DH, even sometimes crossed all boundaries. But, Datahukum? What he did for Diya?
I can only remember Ratan only loved Diya when he visibly saw that Diya was right. When everyone accused her to be traitor he couldn't but believed, punished her. Than seeing Diya dying made him feel how much she is to him. When he read the letter he understood he should do something for than also forgot to ask Diya whether she wants to marry someone or not.
He always did what he loved to do but this is not friendship, right?
