It is not unusual to have more than one director working on a film.

Usually, that is because these directors always work together as a pair, like our very own Abbas-Mustan or the Coen Brothers in Hollywood. And, sometimes, such films are anthologies, like Hollywood's New York Stories which had three segments, each directed by Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola and Woody Allen, respectively; or our Bombay Talkies with Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap collaborating.

Now we have learnt of a third kind. This film, which is ready for release (as and when it gets the money to do so, that is!), has two directors, each directing one half of the film. What a unique strategy, you might think, but you would be wrong! This is not a planned strategy but brought about by the producer's disappointment on seeing the rough cut of the first half. To salvage the film, he brought a new director on board but could not afford a complete re-shoot. Hence, Director No 2 shot the remaining half.

Two heads are better than one or too many cooks spoil the broth... we will find out... if and when the film releases!
