Mangal was lying unconscious on the ground. If not for the balance of this world, Shani would have turned him into a puff of smoke. Shani was trying to suppress the raging agony inside him. The voices kept echoing in his ears. The painful memories of his sister brought the wounds he had buried deep down his heart. Shani looked around the place. Erupting flames, shaking ground and collapsing rocks. The scene was an exact replica of his state of mind. He wanted to run away from there. He wanted to go to a place where these memories don't haunt him. But amidst all these chaos, lies his wife unconscious. He could hear her slow panting. Shani stayed rooted to his spot. Her words were still fresh in his mind. 'I will prove to this world that my love for you can surpass any mangalik dosh'. Lies, all of them he thought. I can't abandon her. I promised her to stay with her always, he tried to reason with himself. Slowly he moved forward and lifted her petite form in his arms. He brought her back to gandharv lok. He heard a faint voice, almost a whisper. He leaned forward and he could hear his name in between her fumbling breath. No, not this time. I am not going to give in, resisting his heart he left from there. ' U are a sinner. Mata chaya is so ashamed of you. Marrying you is the biggest sin of my life', Dhamini's words kept ringing in his ears each time opening a new wound in his heart. No he tried to shut those thoughts. He clutched his heart tightly and started walking. He didn't care where this path was leading him. He just wanted those voices to stop. Dhamini woke up in her bed. She checked the surroundings and relaxed that Mangal and that nightmare was ended. She tried to recall the incident. The horrific place, the cruel revengeful look of Mangal, and Shani. All those images flashed before her. Shani casting shadow on Surya Dev, giving pain to chaya mata and jabbing his sister. No, it can't be. Shani can't do this to his own family.He is the lord of justice who remained unfazed from his path even during the toughest of times. If he has done it there must be a reason, she thought getting up from her bed. The reasons can be dealt later but right now she needs to check on him. It must have been hard dealing with all those memories. She asked a Gandharva Kanya about his whereabouts. The girl pointed her towards the direction Shani left. Dhamini started walking and somehow she knew her husband is in lot of pain. Her words could have made innumerable wounds to his heart. I have to reach him before he detaches himself from me, she thought and her walk picked up the pace. The fight with Mangal has drained Shani of his power. He was feeling weak and his body is giving up. Helpless he falls to his knees and starts banging his fist on the ground. Had Mangal given him anymore curses, he would have handled all of them but this, no. His mother had already declared him as the murderer of her daughter. He somehow learnt to live with the fact. But now hearing the same accusations from his wife just increased the agony multiple times. He let out a loud helpless cry. The sight unfolding before Dhamini was hard to take up for her. Her husband, the love of her life is struggling to get a hold on himself. His body shaking with agony, eyes filled with hot tears. She never thought she would see him in such a state, broken beyond repair. At that minute, she knew it is her words which has touched a chord inside him that stirred the pain. She ran quickly towards him and embraced him before he collapses to ground. I am not a sinner. I didn't kill her, he spoke with his voice trailing off. Shhh, no need to say anything. I know u didn't do it, Dhamini tried to soothe him through her words. No, he protested, no one believes in me not even mata. May be they are incapable of understanding you, she said drawing him close. Shani you are gifted. U can know what is going on in someone's mind by just staring at them. But others need not be that knowledgeable. It is hard to understand you shani. U hardly show your emotions, she tried to reason with him.Let me help you in healing your wounds. Don't hide themm underneath your logic. They will haunt you forever. Open up and share them with me, Dhamini pleaded. Shani slowly moved away from her embrace and stayed silent. He didn'tknow whether she will be able to understand his pain, his decisions, the choices which led him take them. But for once, he felt she will. For the very first time, the lord of justice barred his heart to his wife.n
