There were so many good shows like pow, dahleez, tamanna etc... Bt afsoos... Star plus pulled d plug of these shows too soon😕

So surely she is a example for Nayi Soch , it does not matter teen Naina was from 90s, the serials you mentioned were old, and heroines were adults, so really from 90s.

Yes I myself said that this types of heroines were still there till early 2000s (by the way I also mentioned Suneeta and Poonam whose shows aired in 1985 and then the second season in 1997) Majhli of Hum Log which aired in 1985-86, Tara which aired in 1992-93 all of these were nineties heroines. At that time there were heroines who were strong and confident, worked after marriage but that doesn't mean there were no demure heroines, Barki of HumLog was demure, similarly Chhutki of HumLog (incidently the role was played by Saadia Siddiqui who voices for grown up Naina) was a teenager and confident girl

Even in 2012 we had shows like Bade Acche Lagte Hain where the girl marries a rich brat but in her own terms. It was she who decided if she has to remain with her husband or not, or about with whom she would marry. And this girl was also approximately 35 and continued to work after marriage, and that too in a small coaching institute after getting married to the richest man in India.

I am not saying that Naina isn't a fresh change for today's scenario, I am saying that if these kind of heroines have been with us for last 30 years, how could we call her a Nayi Soch.
