Can I just say I love you for this post!! One of the most insightful posts I've read here. Tbh, I'm a little irked at how fast some people are judging the characters here. The situations they have been put into are really difficult for 16yr olds to handle. I used to be literally angry at Sameer for the bet and really felt bad for Naina. I used to be like doesn't this guy have any emotions? Of course he's just 16. He did not know the gravity of his actions. During the Romeo Juliet rehearsels, when he was laughing at her attire n pleading to God that she doesn't get the role of Juliet was too much for me. That day, I really felt that Naina! This guy doesn't deserve you. He would have to work really hard to gain my respect as a viewer now. Which he did. Commendably! I have more respect for Sameer than I ever had for Naina.
Both their mood swings are completely normal for their age and their situations. Yes, yesterday even I felt that Naina was wrong to attributr everything to Sameer trying to lessen his guilt. Sameer too got angry and felt that's not done. He gave her a piece of his mind yesterday (though it turned out to be Preeti)...he told her this time she was wrong and he loves her truly. He admits his faults and wants to start afresh with her. Very mature of the guy. Being the hot headed lad he is, he's controlling his anger at every point with everyone...I think this bubble would burst once he comes to know about the paper stealing truth. The tables would turn then n Naina would receive the brunt of his anger.Naina again as you rightly said, blames herself for having fallen in love...remember the way she was repeatedly washing her hands...the same hands which hugged him...she felt she had committed a sin, broke the set of morals she was proud of...only to be wronged by the one man she ardently loved. She felt polluted, disgusted at her own self. Many women do feel like that, still even at a very mature age for having let loose their boundaries for a frivolous character. Naina in a way is quite lucky that Sameer is indeep a good hearted soul at heart and loves her immensely. He bore all her and her family's tortures to show her he can do anything for her...that he would be there always for her.To conclude, I would say I love Naina and Sameer both...Sameer more maybe. But I guess we have to trust the story and the makers and not make extreme comments on anyone. With time, we would see the situation change. Well, in the end, now I do feel is time for Naina to mellow down n I guess she would as the shaadi progresses.
