I don't have favourites just depends on the mood. But considering there have been like zero female music directors, I am writing about these lovely songs scored by the one and only Usha Khanna. She;s right up there with several male musical greats. And on merit alone. I've never cared for positive reinforcement and that's why I am such a huge fan of hers. And another thing while other music directors would run after cunning Lata who used all kinds of arm twisting tactics and cunning ways to throw all new singers under the bus, from wiki "The effort she had put earlier in life to establish herself in the industry, made her realise how difficult it was to break through, and this made her often give the chance to new singers. She gave the chance to the singers who were little known at that time Anupama Deshpande, Pankaj Udhas, Hemlata, Mohammed Aziz, Roop Kumar Rathod, Shabbir Kumar, and Sonu Nigam. Many of these went on to become notable singers."

She's my idol. Google puts her in the list with Jaddan Bai and Saraswati Devi just because she's a female but no one knows their handful of songs. She's up there with the male greats. Gotta compete on an equal footing no staggered blocks.
