DIARIES: NUPUR 2ND MARCH

Waise Mayank Sharma itna sadu aur ajeeb bhi nahi hai. Aaj humare department ne Fresher's party organize ki thi. Main toh jaane ke liye badi excited thi par Gunjan ne aane se mana kar dia. Woh ek hi dost toh bani hai mere class mein. I am very upset with her. Kitna manane ki koshish ki maine par usne meri baat kaha sunni thi. Uske cancel karne ke baad maine bhi jaane ka plan cancel kar dia tha par phir humare seniors ne mujhe itna insist kiya ki main mana nahi kar payi. After all, this party was organised for us.

Party mein main kareeban saath baje pohnch gayi thi par tab tak toh koi aya hi nahi tha. Logon ko agar time par aana nahi hota toh phir woh aisi timings hi kyun fix karte hai. Khair main ja kar ek table par baith gayi. Todhe dair mein baki log bhi aane lage aur meri classmate Dia woh mere pas akar baith gayi. Gunjan ke alawa todhi bohot baatein meri Dia se bhi huyi hai. But since uske friends aye nahi the woh mere pas akar baith gayi.

"Gunjan nahi ayi?"

Usne apni drink peete huye pucha.

"Umm..ane toh wali thi par aaj subah hi usne plan cancel kar dia.Maine bhi apna plan cancel kar dia tha but then seniors ne itna insist kiya ki.."

"I understand...Suhaani ne bhi plan cancel kar dia hai.Par main Rannvijay ke insistence pe ayi hoon."

I said nodding but still fixing my gaze on the dance floor. Mayank who was across the hall was suddenly looking towards us.

"Dia mujhe bata rahi thi tumhare bare mein. She is really fond of you i guess."

I simply smiled.

"cold drink?"

Before i could really say anything, he literally shoved the glass in my hand.

"Ok."

I said being taken aback.

Before i could take a sip, Mayank paced forward and intervened.

"Nupur do you have a minute?"

He asked standing in front of Rannvijay.

"Sure. Excuse me."

I responded trying to escape Rannvijay's company.

"Bol-o-o.."

Before i could complete Mayank grabbed the glass from my hand.

"Yeh kya horaha hai?Pehle usne drink zabardasti pakda di aur ab tumne zabardasti cheen li?"

"Tum kya bewakuf ho?"

"Kya matlab hai tumhara?"

Maine usse confusion mein pucha.

"Yeh drink jo tum peene ja rahi ho ye koi cold drink nahi hai. Isme alcohol mixed hai."

He said smelling the drink and then handing it to me. It did smell of alcohol.I looked at him a bit surprised and uttered

"Woh main.."

"Nupur aisi parties mein bina kisi ko jaane tumne glass kaise leliya. Fresher ho I know but sense toh hai na. Rannvijay ko dekh kar hi tumhe andaza nahi hota ki woh kaisa hai."

"Haan kuch ajeeb toh hai."

"Toh phir tumne yeh accept kyun kiya."

"Woh mujhe kya pata tha ki wo alcohol milakar mujhe yeh drink dedega."

"Agar tum in night clubs ke freshers me aogi toh is baat ka andaza toh tumhe hona chahiye. Tum dekh kar mujhe drink karne wale logo mein se nahi lagti isliye maine tumse ye lelia. Your first time could be a disaster. Warna bakiyon ko malum bhi hai aur adat bhi."

"Thanks."

Maine halkesmile karte huye kaha.

He simply nodded and moved away.

Acha ladka hai Mayank. Aur acha hua ki usne yeh andaza laga liya warna pata nahi kis tarah ka tamasha hojata.

MAYANK 2ND MARCH

Bilkul stupid hai Nupur. Bacchon jaisa behavior bhi aur dimag bhi. Party me ayi hai but logon ka koi andaza nahi. Waise jaha kuch gadbad ho na waha Nupur zarur dikhti hai. Bilkul pagal hai. Magar kuch innocent bhi hai. Uski harkaton pe gussa bhi aur kabhi kabhi hasi bhi ati hai. Party me drink ke kisse ke baad use conveyance nahi mil rahi thi. Kisi ki help mangne ke jagah woh raste me na jaane kisse muh phula kar khadi thi.

"Nupur everything alright?"

Maine usse jakar pucha.

"Haan."

Usne kuch gusse me kaha.Before I could respond woh phir khud baat karne lagi

"Nahi. Woh mere driver ka call nahi lag raha tha pehle aur jab laga toh woh kehne laga ki use ane mein dair hojayegi kyun ki tyre puncture hogaya hai. Ab ghar kaise jaungi?"

"Aise muh phula kar khade rehne se toh nahi jaogi."

"Kya matlab?"

"koi matlab nahi hai chalo main bhi nikal raha hoon tumhe drop kar dunga."

Usne mujhe kuch suspicious sa look dia.

"Rannvijay jaise logo ka yakeen kar leti ho par ek genuine help par suspicious horahi ho.Ladkiyaan!"

"Suspicious nahi ho rahi hoon. Soch rahi hoon ki tum har bar mere rescue me kyu ajate ho?Kahi meri saari musibaton ka karan tum hi to nahi ho?"

Usne kuch serious hokar kaha.

"ek kaam karo tum yehi raho.Main jata hoon apne ghar."

Woh haste huye mere peeche ane lagi.

Gaadi mein baith kar usne toh is tarah behave kiya ki jaise maine nahi usne mujhe apni gaadi me lift di ho. Saare apne pasand ke gaane bajaye aur zor se gaane bhi lagi. Pohnch kar usne andar ane ka offer dia aur apne mom dad se milaane par insist karne lagi. Par main koi awkward situation mein nahi padhna chahta tha isliye maine usse keh dia ki mujhe late horaha hai. Bohot pagal hai Nupur. I hope todhi si sensible hojaye.
