We know ratan has kept fast for diya for purpose of a ritual and diya too wants to fast with him for their friendship sake
Now suppose if abhay gets to know this and question Dira about it won't he be right somewhere, can we really blame abhay, are diya's parents non existent that they can't convince ratan they will do ritual and does a friend fast for another friend, do Dira have answers for these?

I can here clearly see only one thing Abhay was right, diya is no more my diya now, for both Dira the other has become more special and important than anyone else, even if that person is your fiancee.

Temishfan!

You are so right. Let's assume if Abhay was not planning to do something to drastic. (I wish we did not know this from all the spoilers things)

Even in that case, the behaviour of Ratan (and to some extent of Diya) was not right.

Ratan hijacking her wedding preparations (and Kaaki Ma sa even taunted her father for it before engagement) lead to the control going to the hands of someone who is clearly not up for the job.

At this point we are looking at it as leads being together or some funny incidents but imagine something of this kind of goof ups happening at your own wedding.

To a lot of girls it is one of the most cherished memory of their lives and letting someone like Ratan doing these kinds of mishaps (for his sense of guilt as well as his trying to wiggle out of his dad's request without having to refuse to do it), is not a nice thing.

I felt it weird when it was Kaaki ma sa who did the "aarti" which is done by bride's mother when Abhay came for engagement.

It seems Diya's parents are sidelined in this whole thing.

And for that matter Diya too is taking her marriage lightly I feel, she is more interested in being with ratan and the time she spends with him gives her more happiness and now this fast thing also

Ofcourse from story point of view it seems romantic as DiRa are meant to be but abhay turning negative is also justified I feel

P.S - I am ayushi 😉😆

Ayushi!

So true! I agree it is petty and stupid (and self harming too) if you decide to marry (or leave Mandap on the day of wedding) for the sake of revenge.

Again one more Marathi saying comes to my mind. "Swatache naak kaapun dusaryala apshakun" which means "to cut your own nose to make sure you spoil someone else's day (by doing apshagun kind of thing) 😆

(I am turning into another Kaaki ma sa with all the muhawara)

But if Abhay is pissed with both of them, he is totally justified in it. Even his sister's anger at the time of engagement was not out of the place. Even without that history, it was stupid to not keep the ring ready on time.

Even if you are so modern this kind of attitude of Ratan doesn't actually gives good message to neither groom nor bride side.
Imagine you go to some engagement party arraged by brides best friend (this can happen), at ring exchange ceremony the ring is not on its place, sagai is completed without the ring the bride wanted to give to groom. At the end of the ceremony the ring is found in brides best friends ring finger(are bhai, ager pehna hi tha to koi or ungli me pehnte, ring fingur me pehne ka matlab?)

Honestly they're going too far in trying to prove how immature Ratan in comparison to Diya and Abhay...there's a limit yaar. It's made it unwatchable for me (I will start once marriage happens), I cringe from like 2nd hand embarrassment, he is 21 not 9.

He can't be that unaware ...it's just too caricaturish and extreme to show such immaturity.. we get the point, no need to assassinate his character for this track.

This is so spot on! I guess they are trying to set the stage for the next drama by showing him an immature guy and showing her as the mature one to create the necessary rift (when they get married)

But this is as shoddy writing (with much slower speed) as the whole winding up Pehredaar track.

(I will confess, that I expected a better way of showing it but I really feel that they are under pressure to get the marriage done ASAP and also to give a reason why they both are on opposite sides, I hope it does not derail to something as dated as hate track post marriage. So far it does not seem possible.)
