I am going by characters role reversal (Shorvori in place of Teni and vice versa), so if Shorvori was the surrogate and Teni the wife -

Teni would have never allowed Shorvori to stay in the house, forget letting her to be so close to Parth and so frank with him. She would have done a huge drama if Shorvori tried to intrude their privacy ever.

Shorvori would never have thrown any tantrums, neither would have made Parth Teni to dance to her tunes. She would never have been pushy for her love towards Parth, she would have waited for the baby to be born and then left the couple's life quietly. It would have been real exploitation of surrogate mother in that case, unlike now.

When Bhanushali women favoured surrogate over their own daughter in law, Teni would have made sure that her rights are not comprised.

If Shorvori was the surrogate, there would have been not a chain of lies around her status and identity, because she would never have entered Bhanushali house, and even if she did, she would have left it to the couple to handle their family on their own.

If Teni was the wife, we wouldn't have got such a beautiful, mature and perfect relationship between the couple!!

If Shorvori was the surrogate, she might have developed genuine feelings for the baby over the course of pregnancy.

And as already mentioned in one post above, who knows, there would have been more emphasis on the childless couple's emotions, because Teni is a favorite character of the CVs to an extent of being biased to her.
