I am a fan of Ranbir Kapoor and I think he is a fantastic actor.

These are the best movies of his IMO

1. Tamasha

2. Rockstar

3. Rocket singh

Personaly, I became a fan of his after watching Rockstar. It was very very impactful but then, I was younger back then and even liked a shitty movie like Bacchna aie haseeno LOL. Haven't rewatched Rockstar but it was his best back then imo but he's done Barfi(which I haven't watched) and people say it's his best. I even liked him a lot in YJHD, though the character wasn't tough per se but it was relatable and very charming. He made it his own.

Can't compare any of these to Ved though. Tamasha deffo made me cry not just for Tara but for him too especially the conference scenes. It was so different. It's like that Special mention category from NA.

that was his original best...
restrained performance...
totally in control of every emotion ..
the gradual flow from boyhood to manhood
was so smooth...its hugely underrated movie n
performance..
