EDT~ ep. 55~ 5.1.18, My stance.. Smoke and mirrors
It's about deception and misleading one from what's real or true. To confuse and complicate rather than clarify. Today's episode especially in the finale scene of, a semi circle of mirrors reflecting Shiv is all about tricking and hiding the truth of a situation. Shiv appears as if an illusion, a mirror image seen as purposefully deceptive. An apparition he is, but with some unattained motive. To Sharanya, Vyom, and others he is sentenced as negative. Sharanya forces an audience with him, to get his motive out. But then can a spirit be held captive? let alone a restless one?
Sharanya, Vyom sneaking out of the house, is evident of defiance and mutiny against Rajan's ground rules. For Chandni what better instance than son going against father. Better still, another male Bedi under threat of being wiped out. A sharp reminder from Chandni to Rajan. His past sins now resurface as karma, punishment.. a reflection of how an innocent soul must have felt at the cruel hands of Rajan. Through Sharanya ,returns an aggrieved spirit too, to rob Bedi's of their peace and live in the fear of the unknown!
By forfeiting herself to Vyom, as his wife, Sharanya aims to capture Shiv. The remote romantic setting surprises Vyom. But have to say, despite all the clues to a wedding night between them, Vyom is able to see vividly that Sharanya does not reflect the same true love for her as he has. The setting, the ambience appears a bit of a sham. Sharanya tries to mirror how he feels for her.. responds, to his touch ,his peck..the performance should agitate Shiv enough! to tear the firmament and stop, another man other than him from gaining access to his Sharanya . Still it's a picture of a consenting Sharanya in Vyom's embrace ,encircled by a cordoned off sacred circle marked by anointed ashes, that drives Shiv mad! Every, moment the gap between Sharanya and Vyom reduces. Shiv's frozen, pallid body smoulders under fire of his deprived love, a floating timeless distance from his love..Sharanya !
Where Vyom's passion for Sharanya as his wife, slowly works on her too..Shiv's rage renders him militant. He is ready to penetrate the sacred ring of ashes.. but is kept out! to watch from the outside, Vyom love his Sharanya .
Sharanya waits... till all erected mirrors around their bed .. shows the reflection of a larger, than life ,young man, gloomy , grim and dark, like the dress he wears from head to toe! A dark soul. Vyom watches Shiv wide eyed, speechless. But Sharanya is ready like a lioness to fire furious threats, boasts and ultimatums to Shiv! she'll hold him captive today! Now! till he doesn't provide answers to her questions. She bellows at every mirror that reflects Shiv's image! multiple shivs! Speak your truth! and set Sharanya free!!! will Shiv free Sharanya ?? a soul lost, dead or living...
All are out to get him! as if he isn't wounded enough? His suffering is eternal! Now Odhni too restrains him from getting to his Sharanya in Vyom's embrace. Shiv takes out his fury on Odhni, one light touch of his palm ,he freezes her! she asked for it ! she instigated his worst side to come out! otherwise he is not a bad spirit. He only loved insanely and lost ,in love.. and now seeing Sharanya in a mirror image where his presence should have reflected, not Vyom's bitterly Shiv recites watching the pair from the outside.. "Your image will take hold of my eyes. That day, this heart, that moment will all come to a halt. This crazy lover inside me would rather die, than see you in the arms of someone else. Shiv's fury won't be caged for long.. and Shranaya's taunts, Vyom is protected from his wrath now , makes Shiv snap!! one piece of flying glass severs her mangalsutra !and as for Vyom is protected... flying glass end up on Vyom'schest. do not! trouble a lost soul..
