Ram's alight funeral pyre is symbolic of the last rites of a committed father. Fire reminds us that humans are mere mortals, life begins, and ends too. Our worldly frame is reduced to ashes, dust...It's remaining loved ones that have to face personal grief. The cosmic fact, living organisms go through the procedure of life and death. The scene where Vyom supports the family's next to kin women of the deceased, the daughter and wife is a poignant action. It brings to my mind the assumption, how Vyom was a pillar of strength for the Bisht s during Sharanya s two year illness. The scene is another example of the value of a son in la culture. Sharanya's emotional dependability on Vyom, which will usher in love and attraction towards Vyom...
Family politics kicks in, as Chandni grabs the chance to rub in Vyom's leanings towards Sharanya's needy family, at the risk of sidelining his own family. Chandni clearly has an axe to grind with Rajan. She wants to see Rajan suffer emotionally.
Water for ablution, is another scene that flows in spontaneously after Ram's cremation. Water washes away a daughter's sorrow. It's not out of place for Vyom to join her under the shower. He does so clearly, as his right, duty and love, and Sharanya her sorrow.Their physical aloofness washes off by water to some extent, as the very water purifies their bond of husband and wife. Will, drenched bodies lead on to their union? Shiv watches, but somehow Vyom's disciplined side emerges before Sharanya , as her husband who takes no advantage of her, rather Vyom recognizes the gravity of her father's cremation.
However the husband wife's mutual agreement to gun Shiv down remains. In prison too, Odhani goes by her dream of Freddy being dead? without any doubts, she too jumps to the conclusion, Shiv is responsible!
Dining table, traditionally a place where families come together. Talk about matters of common interest. In joint families, like Bedi's it becomes a stage to vent off personal grievances. Sharanya braves up to her unpopularity of being jinxed! But Ram's "brave baccha", pulls Rajan down for raising his hand on his wife. Rajan is not amused, as Sharanya may prove to a rod for his back, by standing up for what is right! How she braces herself that It'll take her a while to breakthrough into Madhvi's distrust. The Bedi's appear to suffer financial losses what with the factory going up in fire. Plus Rati's husband disappearance.. Sharanya despite her own demise, seems to cope.. with Vyom's support...some interesting revelations in next episode.
