The day she saw Vidyut talking to Monica through that secret passage, she was determined to not let him come alive out of jail! Yet still people think Neil is just being harsh for the sake of it, can't we really see things from a long run perspective?!, yes it hurts when he is harsh on her, but when u see the bigger picture and the things he is trying to protect her from, one can just admire his love and patience. What would your parents do when they see you are adamant on doing something that can destroy your life forever, will they sit idle and let you do it!! People keep complaining that Neil is letting her in jail for a crime she didn't commit while we know this is not his intention (evidence is against her anyways as per shown and he was even ready to resign from his job to not arrest her) but people are ok with her running away being fully aware about what she will do once out, they can't see her in jail but if she comes out of it and kills Vidyut, will that be any better, now at least she is innocent and her mother and husband are trying to do something for her, people can argue whether it's efficient or not but still they are trying, Avni isn't running away just for her freedom, then one can still understand, she wants to kill Vidyut, that would make her a real murderess!


Anyways people can focus on the short term and forget the long term, can look for quick results which will have serious consequences for a lifetime and ignore the serious results that might really save her life!

Anyways as u said, it's mainly Avni's story from before the first leap, so it's completely understandable that people would see things from her point of view and would feel her pain since she suffered a lot since her childhood. My point was never to demean Avni's pain and her sufferings, I totally understand it and as a woman I put myself also in her shoes, but as a story I can also see the other side and I still feel that in the focus on Avni's pain, there is a sort of unfairness to Neil, Avni would always have the sympathy card because of her past and the difficult situations she lands in, no matter what, and Neil will always be expected to do things and prove himself and his love at every drop of a hat and even if Avni does a mistake he would be expected to understand and to deal with things in a way fans didn't even think of, yet want him to come up with it! if he doesn't trust then he isn't a good lover, if Avni mistrusts she is justified as her past and the way Neil behaved made her think so, if he doesn't come up with solutions then he is naakabil, if he is lenient he is weak, if he is harsh he is berehem and so on, I understand no matter what he does he will face the heat unless he faces some big pain and then too if he doesn't help himself out of it by his own means people would say he is naakabil and he is waiting for Avni to save him, it's ok and it's fine honestly, it's totally my point of view and I know majority won't agree but it's a pattern I noticed from the different tracks, Neil should do things always if he falters then he isn't good enough, even Avni said she won't leave him during Juhi-Mishti track as he loves her selflessly, he gave her a happy family, he forgave her despite marrying him dokhe se etc so it kind of makes it all about what he does and not what he really is, one incident (I know it's a serious one and I totally understand her as breaking the relationship that way has been traumatic) but that incident and her arrest while she knows all evidence is against her and she forgot all what Neil is and was before (I know despite everything she loves him, I don't question her love and I know about her past, pain and everything she did for Neil), if same happened with Avni people would have said no this is not the Neil we know, for example if considering evidence he thought she really did kill Juhi people would have hated it! So yes I say it and I'm unapologetic about it, the sympathy card Avni has, was, is and will always be something that will never let people empathise with Neil!
