Poor Satrupa! Today her plight was simply heart-rending. Why oh why did she give in to her fear of losing Anami and extend Laddoos kidnapping! !? And what a price she's being made to pay!

She thought she was tough. Could do anything to strengthen the bond between herself and her child...even the continued kidnapping. But in the end she couldn't. A bit like Lady Macbeth (and there are shades of 'out dammed spot...' in Sudha too), she started falling apart between the siblings' suffering, and her conscience. And after Laddoos return, her fears that he would spill the beans only grew.

in the end, all it took was a nudge from Anami, and her confession tumbled out...with devastating effect. Despite her every desperate explanation, the plea for belief, for trust, just a little faith, the fragile mother daughter relationship shattered.

The many shades of grey that were her motive could not even begin to tint Anami's Black and White reasoning. She was judged guilty, and her punishment commenced forthwith.

Satrupa's breakdown was truly moving. Her rage, her frustration, her despair, her torment, her heart-break...what a brilliant actor we have in Narayani!! Clutching Anami's baby clothes, curled into a foetus herself, she moved me to tears.

Definitely the scene of the day!

I have been meaning to post for a while and this scene finally dragged me out of my inertia.

Hats off to Narayani and the crew!

Beautiful post! Was going to make a post myself about this scene, but decided to add on to yours. Although Satrupa is grey and her actions are questionable and wrong at so many levels, I cant help but cry for the woman. Her breakdown scene today clutching her baby girl's clothes had me sobbing so hard😭
Captured a few screen shots of the scene that had an impact on me...
NS is a fab actress that I didn't know of before this show and the character has been so well written!👏

It takes a truly well written script to bring about the best in talented actors. Previously she did not get this kind of role though she was always one of the main characters. But NS's serial Phir Subah Hogi had explored her talents to a high degree. I stopped watching that serial, after her character lost relevance. This serial also I started watching only for Narayani. And her diction is perfect.

IS this the same serial where she apparently plays a don? I have heard a lot from her fans about that role as also her role of a eunuch in a Marati movie "Runh" One thing is for sure, she picks very hatke roles.
