I come out of my thoughts as I hear NK voice calling out to me. He give me high five, and sit on the chair in front of my office desk. I give him a cheeky grip and he laughs out loud. He is my best friend, we have always been by each other side all the time, in good or in bad times. I share every aspect of my life with him, he is one come those few I truly trust.

"you should have looked at his face. Haha. God! You nailed it. Are we going to celebrate your revenge tonight? he asked moving his eyebrows in mischief.

I knew what he was saying, party, fun and girls. I chuckled at him. He will never change, sometimes I really worry about him, it's really not the way to live life.

"i am married now I say while going through emails on my laptop,not meeting his eyes. I smile when I hear him laughing his heart out. bas***d! He is enjoying the situation I am in.

" So, what dude! Your marriage is not real anyway. he said looking at me in the eye.

"it is real you know that I said, he sighed in anger.

"ahh!! Yes legally and as per society norms you are married but in your heart you are not. We both know something is fishy with sudden entry of khushi in your life. We have seen similar things happening before, Remember right. If after making the same mistake twice, you still make it again, you will be the stupid one. You know that right he said , telling me same thing we both knew.

I and he both have faced so many attacks of gold digger women. Some we let in just for fun, they get money, we get easy sex. But worse are those who act like they are genuine and act as if they truly love you and you let them affect you. They end up destroying your trust, breaking your heart and hope.

I stop myself from remembering the past, she don't deserve to even mentioned for a second.

"NK, this marriage might be a Sham, perfectly planned to take over my money but it's a marriage nevertheless and I don't want to break it norms. I am not cheater, I will never be. I clarified my stance.

"than we need to take you out of the marriage prison sooner, my friend. Because I won't be able to see your celibate ass, crying all over the office. Nk laughed looking at his friends angry gaze. He loved teasing him to no end.

"shut up! And tell me if the detective find out anything. arnav asked in serious tone. They really need to solve khushi mystery soon.

"i still can't understand how this girl impressed your grandmother so much in just one meet, that she got so hell bent on you marrying her, to the extreme to threat you to sell her share in your company to your major Rival. What magic has she Vivved on her to have such a dangerous impact. Nk continued still confused how his fully single friend, who had no plan to get married anytime soon and has suddenly ended up getting married that to an arranged marriage. News has come as shock to him will be understatement to how he felt.

He felt as if arnav is playing a prank on him but it was the truth, harsh truth. Worse has come when he told him that khushi can be a player of higher order, to relinquish him.

They had then made sure marriage remains a very private affair, no media, no extended friends and relatives where informed. More people know her, the more power she will have, and more damage will be done.

I knew we have to find out a solution fast. I pinch the bridge between my eyebrows. I need to prove true intention of khushi, only then my nani eyes will open to the truth. She was intelligent women and she hated people from low class, so how has she agreed to marry his grandson into such low class family.i needed to know every detail.

"Let's not think about what happened, tell me what detective told you,Nk. I asked him.

He replied taking a deep breath.

"as we know nani meet her in the temple, she was among the people who were serving food to people, in the Ram navmi lagar organized by your family as usual as every year. They had met there for a very brief moment, when Payal has introduced her as her friend from her university.

"and just day after that brief meet my grandmother decided to take proposal to her home for me. Why? I am still not getting it I said, running a frustrating hand through my hairs.

NK looked at him, same confusion on his face and mind.

"he also told me that khushi has recently bought shares in our company. She bought it just one week before she meet your grandmother. She has bought quite a substantial share for her middle class status. Especially when she got education loan to pay. Either she is hiding who she really is or she is involved with some of our rivals.but what would your rivals get by marrying their spy with you. he said still trying to comprehend the situation.

"exactly, my point Nk. What will they get by it. Maybe they will try to defame me somehow, making shares of my company fall, try to buy them out but still they won't be enough to have any power over board of directors on our company. Who will play such stupid game anyway I said, trying to understand the situation.

"well, maybe this could be of any help. he said.

"what? I asked.

"Khushi's father retired from his job as assistant head technician from Navyug', biggest rival to your company Nk told him, everything detective has able to get.

"but why would Vikram make me marry his spy. It would be of no use. Khushi has no connection with office, she can't disclose our details to him, because she don't know any. I said.

"Ahh! Maybe she is nothing but too intelligent gold digger, that is making us confuse. I threw the paper weight in anger towards the door. It's really getting frustrated. Just then a man entered the office, adjusting his glasses, with coffee for both of them and left.

"so has she come back? Nk asked, sipping his coffee.

"as expected. I chuckled.

"well, I must say she is playing a very nice game,but nothing we have not scene before. Nk said smirking at him. Now they know she was playing that.

"playing the Bechare, proud, self respect, middle class girl, who is so Innocent, that billionaire has no other way but to fall for her. I bet she is a virgin too or maybe she will let you believe she is Nk continued, chucking to himself.

"God! It's starting to sound like a India soap or some stupid mills and boon novel arnav laughed at what his own life has become.
