so i came across this on some old historical journals i happened to be reviewing.
Philip and Olympia's marraige was stable unlike shown in the show. Tensions arose when Phillip married a woman named Eurydice, and due to jealousy, Olympia and Alexander left Macedonia. Olympia lived with her brother, while Alexander was living with an old enemy turned friend. Meanwhile, Philip and Olympia had a daughter named Cleopatra(makers forgot to cast her it seems). Anyway Philip offered Cleopatra's hand in marraige to Olympia's brother. Olympia was angry that Philip was marrying their daughter Cleopatra to her brother , thus cementing his friendship with her brother. During Cleopatra's marraige to her uncle and Olympia's brother, Philip was assassinated by a general, although it itls still believed that Olympia had Philip murdered on her daughter and brother's wedding day.
