The First entry into a new house. Traditions are celebrated and rituals adhered to as the new bride enters as the daughter in law of the house. Decorum and precision is followed to usher in good fortune and abundance to the home. Sharanya is ready to cross the threshold.. she aspires to be free from previous anxieties ,like a hounding spirit threatening to finish off Vyom. But does she actually put her foot into a household, where parents fail to get on? where folks hold secrets from each other? rather conspire against each other in the corridors.. worst still adults disregard ristha's, have light flings between each other!
No replacement for the real thing, Rajan sure dampens Chandni's who gets carried away by being the one to welcome the new bride! Keeping up appearances and having the upper hand, Madhvi ends up obeying Rajan's command of having to receive her DIL, Sharanya in her house!
What is Sharanya getting into, when she faces her MIL? Madhvi is no hypocrite, she'll keep up appearances for her son's sake but she blames Sharanya for turning Vyom into some strange being bearing no affinity with her only son and reason to live Vyom! So minus prayers, it's curses Madhvi gives her DIL! warns Sharanya in a bosom to bosom embrace, watch out.. its hell from now on. What got me is when Madhvi warns her he won't spare them!!!. It 's hate and insecurity, with Madhvi, but in the end the woman surrenders under the weight of society and two prominent males in her life.
Some where Shiv rasps in fury , none shall come between them!! looks like he is formally being replaced in Sharanya's life .. but he follows her still. The brides, pure, prosperous red footsteps across the floor inside the house changes to the colour black..a bold symbol of some fatality.. a beginning of some end?
Vyom suggests his mother makes a new beginning with Sharanya... regards what unreal incidents happened with him as some nightmare. We know for sure that as of now, Sharanya will be gripped by many bad dreams. Rajan though, is good at effectively ironing out creases out of sticky situations ! he has the gift of the gab! never unduly stretches situations where he might come under the scanner!
A sense of foreboding doom hangs on! For Odhni it s a spiritual unease that prompts her to put on a rather convincing, possessed performance.. before the hand of the law.. enough to vouch for her and freddy s freedom! For Suman, its the obvious her husband hasn't returned! gives her a sense of gloom.
Such irony, that a father commanded his son ,to be in charge of his mother and sister!Little did they know it was far from network, and more due to strange occurrances that their loved one's utterances made prophetic! Some saline tears from Suman! Three score calls for help! that remained unheard by the son. Little did the wife and son imagine that Ram's body would arrive wrapped in ice at a daughters's wedding reception! The heart goes numb and cold at the idea. The untimely death of the man of the household.
Vyom cannot consider his reception as a celebration! How can he with his FIL missing? Now that he is married ,support for his wife's family has to be evident! Hence for Sharanya and Rati's eyes, down comes the bridal suite decor and up comes the verification of his marriage vow of standing by Sharanya in thick and thin! But here the wife's vow to uphold the loyalty and reverence of her in laws supersedes, her husband's vow! Sharanya assures him the show must go on as her father will surely come!!! That goddess Durga will keep him safe...
Why does the goddess not keep Ram safe?? leaving her behind.. was it deliberate ? or one moment of human weakness to flee from the fear of the unknown? that clouded Rams mind to leave behind the domestic god he came to collect!
Will Maata now be in charge of the Bisht household now! and not Ram! Ram as a mortal fell flat in the face of some undeclared, invisible evil! But Maata ,invincible sees all! in her own way! In her own time, she will fight to favour the Bisht's.
Maata s anger begins to unleash strategically .. Sharanya assures Vyom, marrying him has set her free of all her fears! She gives Vyom a sense of security and he becomes complacent ..clearly he is taken in by her beauty, by her gradual emotional commitment towards him. man and wife begin to harmonize
As man and wife Vyom expresses his love towards her! and she too bashfully gives into his wooing.. blessed is the wife whose husband applies the vermillion in her hair parting! Emphasizes she makes up his destiny .. vermillion is a sign of a married woman who states to the world..that she holds her husband's longevity in her vermillion!.. a blustery gale flings open the window and the pot of vermillion flies out of his hand on to the floor.. but to Vyom it matters not,her forehead parting wears the vermillion of his name!
Although Vyom laugh's it off, only the strong wind.. but hidden from their eyes, a pair of thick boots... walks over the splattered vermillion ... will this marriage last? For the footsteps that carry ,the vermillion imprint! Tramples it under the feet! total disregard! To Sharanya's vermillion!..Vyom assures her their bad times are over.. the shadow over her has long passed..
Shiv recites the state of his heart.. I've loved you to such an extent that I'll be back. "so far ,it was a doubt. But I'll wreak havoc now.In this celebration of colourful thoughts. I'll become the vermillion and fill the parting of your hair.
After the maha episode.. today's was short and to the point.. Monday change of scene.. for joy to sorrow . and what a house warming? burning in the furnance... will Sharanya protect her sindoor???
