I think at that age love is more simple than later on in life.. it can be just pure simple my heart sings for you kind of love.. most people are very comfortable accepting it admitting it.. without too much understanding or emphasis on the practical aspects of commitment.
Maybe Sameer is shown to be an exception due to his circumstances in life and lack of security in relationships.
Also maybe for the same reasons he has a very simplistic view of how just saying sorry will fix everything. Hopefully they will show him also trying to figure out what he really wants post his apologies.. what sort of friendship? He doesn't seem to be such a naive person who would think that Naina will happily go back to having long conversations with him as just a friend if she accepts his apology.
